Yep, plus a lunch from Hell before hand. Loads of great comments from the lovers and haters, plus more balanced ones in between. Should Will have let the venom of JJ’s comments roll over him? Could he have done that? Will’s moral world is still very much black and white. There is little grey to soften his reactions. Overall, I think that Will is going to need professional help and that “Jays” probably needs to be admitted somewhere special. I can’t see Kris coping with him. But this is Arbourland, so who knows what our dearest author has planned for his characters - and readers - to suffer…… Amazing stuff, Mark.

That really is a tough blow. We were adopted by an abandoned half weinerdog who followed my husband around the village and then to the door…. 17 years later we had to say goodbye as dementia made her scared to be alone. But seven is just cruel. My mum lost her last dachshund when he was 5 and swore never again, it was so painful for her. Now two years on from saying goodbye to Fosca, and with me retired last month, the first of two mini weinerdogs has arrived. My life is upside down, I’ve spent a fortune, the flat is a disaster but it feels good. Will I say the same when the second one arrives in three weeks? With a big hug from Spain.

@CassieQ, Ive just reread one or two of the SA stories and thoroughly enjoyed your little gem. Personally, I’m not a cat fan, but they seem to love me and jump straight on to my lap and start to work their claws! That said, Greta our 3-month-old weinerdog, has teeth like a piranha and no part of our bodies is safe 😱 seriously, well done and expect to see a load of likes and comments as I hit your back catalogue. If you know his other writings then you know you are in for a challenging, but ultimately rewarding read. @Mikiesboy has come back with a journey into and out of a 21st-century Dante’s Hell. A hell in which there is no gratuitous violence, much of Matthew’s suffering is implied rather than described, which made it scarier, in a way, for me. I had to take a short break but came back intrigued as to how things would turn out. You will be as well. A triumph, nothing more, nothing less Well done, this is a work of a mature writer.

Having himself been on a cruise last season, it should not have been a surprise that @Mark Arbour was the secret author of this cruise ship tale. Furthermore, the quality of the writing and lashings of humour makes this a typical Arbour piece. at one level it’s about the arrival of two couples on board a cruise ship and how they start to interact. At another level, we see the inner stresses and strains in their respective relationships. Enough said, it’s a very funny story with all four men learning a lot if they are to reach a happy landing a week later. “All aboard!”, this is a good cruise.

Many congratulations to you great authors and many thanks. As a keen member of your reading public I have to say it has been both fun and a challenge, in some cases, to read you all. ps I’m kicking myself now after @Mark Arbour told us he had been on a cruise… argh. But I have to publically congratulate @leshwar for such a wonderful, wonderful story. It was so moving for me, thank you

What an incredible day in Escorial, my word! I’m not sure whether private Tim would forgive Will but I think even some Will-haters might agree he was pushed just too far. Phew, all this and Will and Marie have their farewell dinner tonight. Could there be anymore drama? As ever, many thanks, Mark 🤗

Hi! I’ve been following this story from the horrific beginnings through to the realistic grit of the last chp. This story resonates authenticity as anyone who has ever suffered any kind of abusive situation ( I refuse to honour it with the word “relationship”) can attest. As part of my road I ended up doing a Masters on male survivors which helped me reconcile with myself, if not with the “adult”. I’ve followed @Mickiesboy for some time and the writing here shows just how his skill grows and grows. I await the final chp with trepidation but know it will be an honest and authentic representation. Well done and thank you so much for putting yourself out there. Gary
