  1. Indian Summer is a quick read that completely turns the table on Joe - the sexy hero. But the change is exactly what Joe needs. A hot little number.

  2. That was 🔥 . Joe the sexy silver fox and Dylan the horny stud . A fun read.
  3. Well one surprise might lead to another for Joe. Let’s see what Dylan has in store.
  4. Ash and Taggert make a good team - The Tag Team. This seems to be a high functioning group of men who get on well together. Makes for a good working environment.
  5. Thinking exactly the same. I would have expected Taggert to wait for the others to finish then shower alone. So his shower behaviour was unexpected.

    New Hands

An excellent start and the best genre of all- cowboys!
  7. The Quiet Between Them is a story of love set in Florence as the Renaissance is beginning. Under attack in various ways, the love between Matteo and Gianluca is eventually allowed to find its place and flourish. A great read.

    Chapter 39

A brilliant story, well told. Thank you!

    Chapter 38

I don’t have an issue with a rogue friar, however, he needs to be in or out. How Benedetto treated Gianluca was shocking so it will be interesting to see if he is given the same opportunity to “reflect”. But as Matteo points out, unless the underlying issues are addressed, another will come in the place of Benedetto.

    Chapter 37

Which is exactly what he is saying - we enslave ourselves to institutions for the security they provide at the cost of freedom. He is, in fact, doing nothing different to the bishops, to Lorenzo or anyone else in power, who all wrap themselves in the authority of institution to influence the minds and choices of people, very often for the greater benefit of the few.

    Chapter 37

The silly thing is that Benedetto is not wrong. We do not need a church, a bishop or a pope to preach the Gospel and he is preaching a kind of liberation theology which centuries later ran like wildfire across South and Central America. What I find disturbing about holiness and many others who preach absolute freedom in whatever form they choose to preach it - be it religious, social or political - is that this ultimately means “the freedom I choose to allow you”. Benedetto would likely not remain an impartial provider of the word but take on the power given him by obedient followers.

    Chapter 36

The machine is now in motion and Benedetto will reap the wind that is coming. Now in that crowd somewhere could there be a young Savanarola?
  13. Doha

    Chapter 35

Benedetto’s words are vague enough to defend yet explicit enough to be incendiary. The question is how will the abbots respond and what impact will that have on the people of Florence.
  14. Joe is super hot and super cool at the same time. As at @akascrubber suggests, Dylan is probably going to be the issue rather than Diane. Unless Dylan and Luca are already an item.
  15. Doha

    Chapter 33

Benedetto has sparked off a fibre. Will the combined prudence of the city and its leaders be enough to avoid violence,
  16. Doha

    Chapter 31

Well the motion has begun and the cogs are grinding.
  17. Doha

    Chapter 30

Let’s see how Florence take this. We already know Fra Bernadetto will call it a structural sin seeking stability. I’m looking forward to seeing the face off.

    Palomar

Life is getting interesting for George and he is going to enjoy the challenge of leading a crew of sailors again. He and Capt Palomar are going to have a crazy, sexy relationship once the get past dancing around one another.
  19. Doha

    Chapter 29

Matteo and Gianluca are finally coming down to the nuts and bolts of things and Lauretta is being remarkably generous. Will this have the strength to withstand the heat of religious disapproval and secular avoidance? I certainly hope so.
  20. Doha

    Chapter 28

The battle lines are being drawn and there must be a victor. These opposites will struggle to cohabit one space.
  21. Doha

    Chapter 27

Lorenzo’s response is something like a teacher’s to the naughty kid in the room - ignore him and praise the good ones in the vicinity. I’m not sure how this will go with the friar. Let’s see.
  22. Doha

    Chapter 26

Fra Bennedetto’s influence will need to be neutralised if Matteo and Gianluca are to survive and flourish. Lauretta has morphed from a quiet pale little thing, into a woman of substance.
  23. Doha

    Chapter 25

Lauretta and Danilo are twin towers of strength in this. The friars will not forget and this may come back to them later. They need to be prepared with information that can silence the order or with the city’s authority.
  24. Doha

    Chapter 24

    Always and without fail.
  25. Doha

    Chapter 23

When the time comes to act, I hope it is both decisive and positive in outcome.
