    I'm getting the sense more and more that the Kardoval are completely out of touch with their own people. Kidnapping Garjah will be their death knell. Can't wait for next Wednesday, so we can get back to the rescue!

    Even though we knew Finn was coming (I mean the title was Reunion!), it was still fun and satisfying. I like the juxtaposition with River turning into the self-doubting, inside his head, basket case! He obviously needs to talk to Kenji, but he's afraid of hearing the wrong thing. I hate the thought of River being so far away, but I love the thought of confident River taking over Japan!

    My initial thoughts are that it is not Neall. He paid way too much to just kill him. Still sad for the lost boy, whoever he was. The heavy ending overshadowed the food porn beginning, I'm definitely going to have some smoked meat today!

    As I'm reading, I'm sipping' on some Cleveland Underground small batch bourbon with a dash of peanut butter whiskey, neat. When I'm in the mood for sweets, I've made a few decent cocktails with bourbon, peach jam and a shake of peach white balsamic. I promise I'll try the Dr. Peppermints. As for the cow-man story, I'm still waiting for my mole-people! You should totally check with your husband before you start selling him by mail!!!! Cernunnos sequel and Zombies? I'm all in!

    Wow, great lessons learned! Sheboygan, please let us hitchhike along on that assignment! The cliffie, hmmmmm, I can't see Yakob losing to anyone, including Stefan, so what could have happened? Finally, I'd try the Dancing Bear (just one), but you still haven't sold me on the Dr. Peppermint!

    This was such a strong expression of love, loss and regret! The first chapter was full of righteous anger, this was more sad, for the narrator and for the lost lover who chose the easier path. I wonder if they regret their choice. I wonder if there is still hope. You packed a hell of a lot into a few lines!

    I hope there is more to Chaintrik's plan than that! Garjah won't like that plan anymore than Bouncer! At least we have undeniable proof that Bouncer is sentient and understands language.

    I started this hoping it would be a good-enough filler story, you know those unobjectional tales that fill the time between updates of your followed stories. Instead I found one of the best written, thoughtful, and engaging stories I have read! My only sadness comes from knowing this great author is deceased.

    I loved the paragraph describing Toph's love and appreciation for Oscar's patio. Is it prophetic? Will be live there some day? Oscar seems to be his chosen father figure.

    I don't usually comment on a long published story (specially one who's author is deceased) but I couldn't help myself. Both, because this story is so well written and engaging, and because so many of the readers comments are stuck on one point -- Gary is bad and can't be trusted. I don't understand the level of animosity for this character. He made some mistakes early in the friendship which were exacerbated by neither character communicating well. The readers seem to want Toph to hold on to grudges and resentments and crawl back behind his fences. Of course, I could be wrong, and if this is the case, please don't tell me until I finish the story!

    I was able to finally read the comments without getting "cached"! Most of my thoughts have already been expressed prior to page 6, but I'm wondering most about Kage. Is he sentient inside Elijah? Or more of an emotional presence? Is he able to see the big picture now and will guide Elijah to find the pups? To find his mate?

    Thanks for the CJ fix! I loved the throw down of the reporter, I would love for reality to follow fiction! I'm excited for Liebe, she's going to have a room for for a princess! It's good for the guys to be surrounded by family, CJ needs constant grounding to keep him from flying too high too soon.

    My first thought when the baddie showed up was "Trevor or red herring", I think that Trevor is most likely, but @drpaladin might be right. The boss may or may not already know about Trevor. I can't imagine he would be in cahoots with Huntington, he is causing problems that would negatively effect all supernaturals. We haven't heard what happened to the elemental lady, I think she will turn up again.

    I think that Timok is on our side. I hope he is on our side. Not all the "good guys" are wonderful people, it helps to spice things up. I also hope that Timok is right about Garjah being able to get away without help.

    I can't believe I got to read this chapter on page one of the comments! Beautiful first part of the chapter, dreadful end! I have faith you wouldn't kill off our co-hero, but I'm mad about the traitor! What about Kage's boss, does he know about Trevor? Was he in on it? If not, he's going to be pissed!
