  1. This is the book I prioritized over all others. One of the most satisfying, best written, funniest stories I have read. This is better than anything you will pay to read.

    Chapter 27: Easy

I think my favorite is when the quarterback pitches a strike to the point guard for the game winning goal!

    Chapter 27: Easy

This was a fun chapter, though not completely free of self doubt, it was the least amount of negative thinking Alec has had. I had to laugh at poor Alec having to watch a "sports ball news show".

    Chapter 20

I'm guessing the baby is arriving! Hospitals are not the most romantic honeymoon destination, but you got to do what you got to do.

    Chapter 18

Nice chapter. It sounds like the major is putting his money to good use.

    Chapter 95

Bouncer to the rescue!!! I can't wait until Essell figures out that Bouncer is way more than a giant great dane!
  7. I think Kenji is right. Most people do so much waffling back and forth because we refuse to commit to big decisions, unless someone else supports them. If Alec wants to move back, then he should. Let Finn adjust to his decision instead of guiding him towards a different one. And I'm happy you survived the weekend.

    Chapter 5

I think Christian/John coming clean is a good thing for everyone. I wasn't entirely comfortable with his decision to lie. If it was to get the guests more comfortable with him, then that blows up in in his face when they find out, which it did. I am not surprised at the mixed reaction, I doubt I would trust him if I were them. It would take him regaining that trust over time. Poor decision to start out with.

    Chapter 1

I hope the major comes out ok, I also hope this incident will reconnect him to his friends, and to his money (of which he is still unaware).
  10. I feel like Puppy has finally grown up. I hope you revisit their world in the future. I also hope he enjoys his outback vacation without getting too distracted by hunky Australian boys! Remember --- study, pay off debts, become an adult! I would love to see a time jump to Puppy running the group home!

    Death

I had actually heard of that, no doubt from my many years of research in forensics (AKA watching CSI and NCIS).

    Death

Who is in the well????? This question is renting space in my head! I still guess that it's Trevor, the only one who directly knows he went to Australia is Jenny, and we obviously can't trust her. Where is Jack's ghost when you need him?!

    Part 7

Lovely story, we got to see the beginnings of The Boot and the reasoning behind John/Christian.

    Part 5

I read your father's story, very heartwarming. I believe we are now approaching the beginnings of the night shelter? The Simons in life serve to teach us what not to do and what is really important!

    Part 2

As an adult, John's response to his first wet dream seems an over-reaction, but anyone who has spent time around young teens, can tell you that extreme reactions are the norm. It's amazing the vast majority of us make it through the hormonal hell of puberty!

    Part 1

Hmmm, is this our John from The Boot? But then why would his "real name" be Christian, not the other way around? Or, is the young chauffeur our hero? Intriguing!
  17. Sorry, I meant to say that first, he should zip over to Alaska and catch a salmon for RJ. I have always wanted to go to Alaska!
  18. If I were Vincent, I would zip home and pick up my sweetie, drop him off in my bed, zip over to Maine, grab some lobster take-out, zip back to my hotel room, eat, then unzip!
  19. I look forward to the interview with Reardon, I wonder if Vincent will be able to keep quiet, and if Reardon will let him. I like RJ, in some ways he is the polar opposite of Vincent 😁. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  20. At least they are both talking, I'm not entirely sure they are doing much listening. Both are still stuck inside their own viewpoints and are having problems looking at the situation as a truly shared experience. But, it sounds like they finally have the same goal, so I'm hopeful. Alec made a huge step forward in tackling his mental health issues, most of the risks were made last chapter, but this chapter was about sticking to his decision and not letting himself spiral with negative thoughts.

    Chapter 7

I'm out. This just doesn't make any sense.

    Chapter 6

Sorry, I just can't get past the glaring continuity issues. It's as if the last book didn't take place at all! It's set 3 years after the last book ended (the prom was set in 2000), yet Peter is now 16???? Andrew doesn't seem to be a coach, Rajik and Farah are suddenly in the inner circle, and the engagement of Lisa and Jeff happened in 2000.
  23. I got your back! And who says a zip line has to be longer than .2 acres? It's not the length that counts, it's the ride! Wait, what were we talking about?
  24. Hell yea!!! Think of all the hidden spots you could hide in, the banisters that could be slid down, the turrets! I mean who doesn't love a good turret!
