  1. I'm glad he skipped the party! He does much better with one on one or small groups. I hope he makes good friends with Kaz, he needs some more allies!
  2. I'm leery of this party, just like I was with the 4th party. I don't think I like Alyssa and her "beverages" ! It's been so long since I graduated university, I forgot about mailing report cards. A lawyer might come in handy.

    Chapter 5

It was not mentioned that their race is now extinct, that would be an awkward conversation! If they can escape the time loop, they will be the last of their kind in the universe.
  4. Zander!!! The title makes perfect sense now!
  5. This was a very upbeat chapter, hopeful for the future! Not to be a downer, but you took some criticism in earlier chapters for being unrealistically cruel to our sad hero. There was a story on the news this morning regarding a five year old homicide investigation of an 8 year old boy. At the time the father and step mom were investigated, but nothing was proven and family moved to another state. The other children are now adults and went to the police. The parents starved the child for 5 weeks prior to his death. They are now under arrest waiting extradition back to Ohio. This kind of abuse does occur and is often undetected.

    Chapter 109

Great chapter! Now our rebels have to figure out the best way to stay free and uncover the treachery of the Kardoval. Ases and his mech are going to be the key, how will they use them? Will Bouncer get to eat anymore soldiers?
  7. We finally meet the lifeguard, sort of. Andy is certainly more self-assured than Stefan was, I think he would be surprised by himself, if he could look at his life objectively.
  8. Will Andy meet his lifeguard at Blackburn High? Where will be find his new temporary home? Will Eustace and Marjorie ever meet? I could see them finding an easy companionship, if Marjorie isn't too bossy for Eustace. She can't be any more bossy than Ambrose! Hmmm, I'm guessing that business card for the lawyer will come up again. I am not a read ahead kind of person, but I peeked at the chapter titles. I'm not going to give out any spoilers, but I think Blackburn might be a turning point.

    August Escape

I'm sad that Eric had to leave his home, the farm, and Eustace. But, he hasn't met his lifeguard yet, so I knew he would be leaving at some point. I still hold out hope that Ambrose will be the key to clearing Eric. I'm so glad you started the story with the 2nd narrator, so we know it turns out ok in the end.
  10. Eric eventually needs to get adult help to get out of hiding, even though he is not ready for that. I don't think he is actually "wanted for murder". That idea came from the local yokel cop and the lousy principal. They may have questioned him, but I don't think he would have been arrested. The real problem is Uncle Ray, he likely would have been given temporary custody, unless he was in prison for sexual abuse of a minor. Maybe Ambrose can help him.

    Interrogation

I'm not sure why, but I'm more nervous about Eric going to this gathering than I am about Ambrose being a cop. What if the real Andersons are there!
  12. I think this will be the start of Eric rebuilding himself. He finally can focus on more than just surviving, hopefully, with Eustace's help he can start thriving.
  13. Hey now, I'll slap that smile right off your face!

    Work

I'm so happy Eric finally got some good luck. Great writing, I could smell the bacon and taste the sugarsnaps!
  15. The last time I was sure the author wouldn't kill off one of the mains, @kboismurdered Kage, but you're not that cruel, are you????
  16. That was some super awesome magic splerm!

    A Short Ride

Eric's conversation with the cow shows he is trying to make connections with others, even though he is telling himself not to trust anyone. He hasn't had a positive connection with anyone since his mother, 8 years ago! His instincts are good, I hope he finds at least one person who earns his trust, and doesn't abuse it.

    Konstantin

My 2nd chapter first instincts: Kavan is our hero, caring, helpful, smart. Konstantin is old, strong, rebellious, principled, well-liked. Mother is an evil bitch. She is the enemy. She holds a grudge. Simone is a power hungry sycophant, she is cruel, dangerous, sadistic. Doc is secretly on team Konstantin, but is unable to show it. I'm loving this! Great tension and drama!
  19. Unlike some of the other readers, I didn't get a bad feeling about Ozzie. I wouldn't trust anything that Colin says. The reading to the little girl was nice. Eric could use a lot more nice.
  20. I live in a semi-rural area and would never automatically assume a teenager in shabby clothes walking along a road is homeless. On my 10 minute drive into town (Midwestern steel city of about 50,000 people), I frequently see a person or two that I'm pretty sure are homeless. I've never really thought about those assumptions before. I was also hoping he could forage from an early garden, but our young hero wouldn't know a potato plant from a petunia!

    Houghton

In a way, it's probably good that positive experiences are happening little by little. He can slowly get used to the idea that he is worthy. I think too much all at once might overwhelm him and send him running away.

    My story

Thank you for sharing your personal journey with us. One of my favorite things about your writing is your realistic, authentic characters. They truly seem like real people that could be my friend, cousin, neighbor. Eric was a perfect character because you injected some of yourself into him.

    Church

Eric desperately needed some rest, both mental and physical. This church was a sanctuary for him, as it should be. I'm eager to meet the lifeguard, according to the ch. 1 beginning, he will be important to Eric. But I doubt Eric is ready to trust someone yet.

    Eric

It seems that Stefan has now become Eric, he is becoming a new person not only in name. Stefan's horrible life has had him focused on survival, he hasn't had any time to figure out who he is. Perhaps Eric will start that journey.

    Walk Away

I'm concerned for this unworldly boy out there on his own with $20 and the clothes he is wearing. But I'm so glad that his father is dead. Good luck Stefan!
