I appreciated the background, but I am glad we received it now and not earlier. One of the things I enjoy most in your writing is the complex building of characters and suspense. I have never been the type who peeks at the end of a book, what's the fun in that? I also like authors to inject some ambiguity into their characters; I enjoy liking, disliking, loving, and hating the same character throughout a story. Well done!

None of the the other commenters have mentioned the troubling issue that the baby dragon/teen boy has red coloring and breathes fire, which appears to be a sign of the bad guys! I agree that Theo is probably a dragon, also. But, is our angsty, conflicted teen going to be a hero or a villain? You certainly don't write black and white stories!

Ohhh, thanks for the clarification!

Compulsion And Resistance
CincyKris commented on Stellar's story chapter in Compulsion And Resistance
I love Mr. Crawley, I knew from his first appearance and it was reinforced with his second. I'm pretty sure that Nero, Theo, and Darren are bad (3 different people??? or not?) and the boss man (the one who ordered the theft) are bad. Torsten, Lucy, Mr. Crawley, and the awesome baby dragon are good. I'm greatly enjoying the start of this story! -
Northman's douchery is starting to be noticed by a lot more people. CJ's fan club is picking up members like a snowball rolling down a hill. Hopefully it will land on Northman!

I'm all caught up! I loved the answers (and questions!) that we were given. I'm more concerned with Hartley fooling around with aqumi than the Herald looming overhead. I haven't forgotten that he and/or Quan murdered all the individuals of certain families (to end their DNA from replicating?), before escaping earth. I wonder when this will return to the storyline?

I don't think that Iskandar was wounded by the alien, but he was in contact with infected blood, is he the first carrier? I can't say I have any sympathy for him, but he is about to infiltrate the Brotherhood. I wonder how many "enemies" would risk their lives to protect someone they hate?

I don't think you're reading the same story that I am reading. The intricacies of plot and underlying origins of the current characters are what sets this apart from the average sci-fi story. If you want average, there are lots of other stories with less complex but attractive characters on this site. This story is not average!

I found this chapter a couple weeks ago and was impressed but confused. I discovered this was the third part of a trilogy and stopped reading this to read the first two books. I could not be more impressed!

This is the exciting and complex second installment of this space trilogy. Our battlegrounds shift from Lucere to earth and space. We meet new characters and villains and watch our favorite three heroes grow into people they never imagined they would be. I'm very excited that I found these stories now that the third part is in process!

I'm guessing that CJ getting involved with super-secret spy stuff leads to the impending "incident" we've all been waiting so long to read about. Just the fact that the Russian went into Liebe's room makes me hope he doesn't survive the story!

This was a fun, happy chapter! I hope the emails pay off. I am also looking forward to the face to face "meet the parents" chapter. I'm sure that Garjah will handle it better than Ben Stiller!

I happened upon this story when the author posted a new story. The first chapter was exciting and extremely well written, but I felt I was missing something. It turns out, the new story is the third part of a trilogy. So I stopped reading three and started on the first. I was blown away by this story! It is one of the best sci-fi stories I have ever read, on any site. Hopefully you have time to binge this. It moves fast, makes you think, has a beautiful romance, and has masterful writing.

It's a boxing day miracle! We have 4 of the wolves in the painting. Are Ben and Zev the other 2? Thank you for healing Reilly and his wolf. Looking forward to Rosalie and Silas meeting. Loved the chapter!

Perhaps your next project???

Thanks for this heart warming snippet from our old friends. There is nothing like a good old pet-related crisis to pull people (and angsty teenagers) together!

Felicity is Adam's mother, but she is working with Andy on the wedding preparations. It feels like she is getting closer to her "enough is enough" moment. I hope so!!! Stairs are not a bad idea, but there are also several poisonous plants at home in many English gardens, monkshood for example?

Thanks for the laugh and for catching us up with old friends!

Chapter 8 - Hot Chocolate Milkshake
CincyKris commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 8 - Hot Chocolate Milkshake
Unresolved guilt is one of the hardest emotions to get over. Reaching out to her dead husband's secret lover for the sake of her boys (and for herself) was a very brave thing to do.- 16 comments

I agree with most of the above comments (Ben😘Zev?) And loved the chapter. I don't know if it will be important later but I really want to learn more about that painting of the wolves. Was one of them Silas?

I work in retail in the American Midwest and see the full range of technological efficiency (or deficiency) amongst older persons. While Eric is certainly on the edge of the range, he is not alone! I'm so proud of him for trying new things. It seems we are heading towards a convergence of characters and intertwined storylines, either at the open house and/or the wedding. I feel like we need Andy and Emily to compare stories in order for Felicity to get the help she so desperately needs.

Are you sure it wasn't Jan that got in the tree? It sounds more like a Jan moment!

Finally! Essell is taking charge! He and Garjah will be good mates.

The story was creepy, but comforting at the end. I read the articles for which you provided links, I found the first one fascinating. With so many other scientific advancements, luck led to accidental discoveries (the fencing blade resonating at the exact frequency of the vibrating fan). It also makes sense that older houses and buildings have more older equipment likely to produce low frequency sounds and vibrations, not nearly as sexy as murdered former residents! Makes me wonder if any haunted houses or scary movies have produced low frequency sounds to "enhance" the experience.

Great ending! I only wish it was real (the interview and reaction to it).
