I am tempted to go back and look at the tags, but I won't, I am predicting they are twins. Jason is adopted. I will not read ahead, so I guess I'll find out eventually.

A four-year degree earned 30 years ago certainly does not make me an expert, but I would give Josh a less than even chance of refusing Kai in the near future. When Josh stops loving and hating, forgives himself, and starts feeling indifferent towards Kai, he stands a chance.

Right after graduating with a degree in psychology I worked with victims of domestic violence. So many blamed themselves and excused the abusive behavior because blaming the abuser meant ending it and being alone. A very scary prospect considering the abuser always made the victim dependent on him (or her). The dependence was financial, physical, social, and/or emotional. We don't know yet how Josh broke away, but surviving this ordeal is an achievement.

I can't help but wonder if Hunter's aggression towards Puppy was a defense mechanism. He was carrying so much guilt and self hatred that he lashed out at Puppy, trying to either drive him away or fight back, because he thought he didn't deserve love. On a side note, I'm hoping that Cindy's viewpoint will convince her new father into making changes to the kid prison.

I couldn't agree more! I was hooked by the first paragraph, concerned for Daisy. I'm so happy to have my Monday obsession back! Can't wait for more Boone, Coy, Daisy, Blue, Duke, and now Mitch and the new colt. Thank you!

You have us on an emotional roller coaster! Last chapter I felt a little sorry for Hunter, but mostly I was angry at him and wanted Puppy to stay as far away as he could. Now I feel sympathetic towards Hunter, Taylor, and Puppy. But not towards Cassie! What kind of best friend lets someone they care about go down a destructive path and just enables and eggs him on because trying to help would not be cool. She cares more about being the "edgy angsty teen". Please don't make me feel sympathetic towards her in the next chapter.

I so hope Puppy ends it with Hunter. Maybe Hunter will pull himself out of the self destructive and dangerous lifestyle he's been living, but probably not anytime soon. If Puppy stays with him, he will be dragged down also.

Craig needs a lot more of these types of weekends to get used to the "new normal". What's up with Archie? He seems the jealous type. Did he and James have a fling? I enjoyed the pub scene. I like the idea of Craig making himself at home with the locals.

So, Michael is the author of the screenplay. Have we met Hunter yet? Michael and Patrick come from opposite sides of society but are in similar positions. How much fun would it be if this was the same P.I.? Hating Ford. Can't wait for his viewpoint!

I have to agree with the others, it feels like there was some intentional drugging for behavior control. I hope this is not an extremely accurate representation of private group homes in England. I know that Americans (and probably any large overpopulated country) have issues with the foster system, but most kids in group homes would go to public school and have access to popular culture. I would assume this is the same for state run homes in England. I'm loving this gripping story! -

I realize we are still collecting clues this early in the story, rather than discovering answers, but you keeping us on our toes! I have so many pieces of the puzzle floating around in my head already and now I have the surreal dream. Looking forward to reading more of the script and hearing from the P.I.

I had flashbacks to my 7-year life in corporate culture. "cheerleader for change’ - and yes, that was one of the vomit-inducing catchphrases used within head office" This made me laugh out loud! Office Space was a documentary, not a comedy. I have worked for a family owned independent garden center for 16 years and I will never go back to cubicle hell! I love the direction this story is going.

I can't believe one of them actually has a conscience. The run felt free and jubilant. Unless they accept a cheetah into the pack, Cyn will be the fastest (and would still be faster on a longer run). That has to be empowering to a prey shifter. And finally, I'm very happy for Arric and Kieran. I'm also happy the bunnies didn't get trampled.

As foreign and antiquated as Eloise's attitude seems to us "normal" people, this has been status quo for the wives of the noble, rich, and famous for centuries. That doesn't make it any more right than slavery or domestic violence. I suppose if you married for status, money, and things rather than for love or companionship, this "stick your head in the sand" solution she suggests makes sense. Not that Patrick's current responses are any healthier. Of course, the solution we reasonable readers have suggested would not make for as good a story!

Patrick is spiralling. He at least realizes this, he's just not ready to let go. I don't know if telling Chloe will give him a much needed reality check or a partner in crime. I really really want him to read the script. I want to read the script.

Lets see....... Is Michael the black haired guy? He is an actor, so probably not the writer. I believe that chapter 3 "the Patrick poisons Ford" chapter stated that none of the 3 harem boys were living in the condo, this one is. So, is this boy #4? Who is the brother? Was he also adopted as a baby? Twin? if you couldn't tell, I love this story. I might be a little obsessed.

I'm loving the direction this is taking! I read the beginning summary and was not expecting a sweet romance. The script is adding a deliciously creepy layer. Patrick was taking control of his situation, albeit slightly psychotic control, now he is thrown off-kilter. My vote on the writer is the black-haired cheatee.

I don't know if I can add a lot to the other fine reviews. Very well written and entertaining story. The characters are flawed and interesting, the story is engaging and addictive.

Wonderful ending! I can see these two making it work. In my head Tom is going through multiple boyfriends, none of them quite meeting his particular standards or them leaving him, frustrated by his doucheyness. Kat never was quite the same after that embarrassing fall on the runway. The plastic surgeon couldn't get nose quite right. I think she signed on for a third rate reality show. Drew is still pining away after Joel.😁
