This chapter was a case study of how loneliness can feel suffocating. I could feel the boredom and loneliness that Nick was experiencing..haha On a good note is the fact that subconsciously Nick now knows who to choose..

However I will take you back to what Chris told Jace..in some chapter back...Jace still has unresolved feelings for Matteo..From what Chris said, they had a very intense love.That they considered each other 'soulmates' and even naively promised themselves to each other...That is something hard to let go,especially if it was first love. Due to that fact, the cheating was inevitable as soon as their paths crossed again.. Cheating is never easy to get over ,but it's more devastating if the parties involved are people who you hold dear and are close to you like Jace and Matteo ....then there is the fact that it was Matteo who initiated it..both are to blame sure....but it was Matteo who set the ball running.... The restaurant scene and the scene with his friend also shows us that it's Matteo who wants to continue this ..like he is still stuck on the first love thing.. Basically it's going to be bloody messy.....Lives will be irrevocably changed and a lot of emotional hurt is indeed in the store. I just feel for sorry for Noah and Rain.

Thank you for yet another intense episode of this tale .Now am almost wishing was a fly on the wall at Peter's ,that way could have witnessed what Peter and Daniel talked about..😂. I will keep repeating this till the end😂...Lucian really needs therapy ..of all 3 of the lads. He is the one most damaged by Bruno Greene. I could not help feel pity for him...the delusion ,the self-hate that he hides behind his hedonism, the self destruction...this is a lad who is damaged that he has lost his moral compass. That he cannot even realise that he has somewhat turned emotionally abusive(towards his brothers ) like the man he claims to hate, Bruno Greene. If a psychologist or therapist saw this story, they would feel like they have struck Gold....this is class reading material . Thank you!

I think the only reason why he was a little upset with the break up is because he has Alan to fall back on...look at this : : A lot of me wants to just end everything with Alan and go be with Jordan. But a lot of me wants to stay in the relationship, situation I already have with Alan. I mean, Alan isn’t so bad and it all seems stable. Where would I live if he and I split up? What if things don’t work out with Jordan? Then I’d have given up Alan and my home for nothing. I’d be in a mess then I like to believe he is just a 19 year old lad .When you are young, you tend to settle for comfort..I harken back to the chapter where Jordan decided to end the date...Calvin at that moment is making decisions basing on vibes...to borrow from Gen Z .. the sex with Alan is good ..it is all he knows and he is all new at this. For him at the moment its exploration and convenience that is driving his decision ...In the real word, Calvin would not give such a justification for why he is staying..it doesn't make sense...but this fantasy so we are meant to take it as it😂

He is 19...naivety and making bad decisions and choices is a default setting. I like to think the financial incentive of it is something that is hard to resist...let's wait and see.

I decided that I would not comment on this weekend's updates but rather wait to see your analysis Maestro..and @LeeSA's.😂..Earlier today was re-reading from Chapter 1...trying to understand why she opted to call the story Misaligned. I could not get the gist of it till I read this comment of yours and then got my eureka moment....It is indeed in the connection. That's where the Misalignment occured ..both in the past when they were in college and in the present. Though it seems to be the beginning of an alignment in the present...at least that's what I personally . I now long for the day when we will get to know why Brad is the way he is. There has got to be a reason why he lives for the attention! Thank you!

When I was reading this chapter...especially the scene where Danny neutralises Cassandra's powers...couldn't help but think of Diana Bishop from the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Darkness.. His gifts, for lack of better word, are similar to those of Diana.In that he is a Weaver. His power is limited by his self-belief and imagination as alluded to by Jack in their confrontation with Cassandra. Did you get mate vibes when it came to Jack and Theodore from this
