The market was fun, the healers and Fae counsel not so much. It all seemed so one sided. The subtle hints of Kieran seeing the bald bitch, and Helmsfirth agents, was nice foreshadowing. It does seem that Rory’s small use of magic being so draining is a problem. Hopefully this ancient bonding ritual will be a good thing for them, and not a problem. Seems like more of a hero’s journey for Kieran. And will he be able to get it done in time. Seem unusually convenient that the majority of the soldiers are away from the castle for the coronation… with the threat of attack coming. I think the counsel is going to be thrown into disarray with the attack. Hopefully they are crowned beforehand.

Great conclusion to an interesting story. Two very satisfied men with a great beginning to what could be a long term relationship. -
This was a great thanksgiving dinner with their chosen family. Will’s grateful speech brought a lot of emotional energy, he does seem to be in a better place. The lack of any clues on the murder mystery front have some of them down.

With Henry being in the same area as Teyshawn and Devon, when police arrive they will likely find him. Maybe he’ll make his way to Liberty Academy? Devon is going to need medical attention for his wounded shoulder. Will the gang let them get away?

That is going to make going on a date with Jordan awkward… they really need to talk about their relationship more. Has Cal told Alan he is not willing to do the semi porn yet? This was a very hot shower scene, and Cal is being much more dominant than before.

Ash was so willing to let Desmond go back to the priesthood, then it all turned around. He had to carry Desmond once again out of a bad situation. They make an awesome couple, and maybe with their combined power will make a difference getting Rory and Kieran out of the Fae castle.

Where as Theodore wanted to kill him when they met. The incense may have been masking something, but not a mate attraction. Tonight may further the mate connection. -

Great casual party. There probably used to be complete matching sets of crockery, before everything was sold off and the guys inherited the place. Vince does seem more comfortable being in this environment with Peter, and has finally accepted and is going to let the other important people in his life know? -
The vampires are hundreds of years old, there are stories to tell, and since Aaven is brand new to learning all about this. If they’re willing to share, it would be very interesting, and maybe give him some perspective to move forward with.

This chapter has many things going on. Getting the able soldiers to find their compatriots, Kirian and Ash having a serious talk, Rory being fussed over as a pregnant person. I did wonder what effect the portal travel would have on the unborn child. The Fae healers will let him know. Meeting Ash’s cousin Virelle who is delightful. On to business of being crowned. New clothes, meetings…

There is so much to unpack in this chapter, I loved the interaction with Professor Thorne. Nick is getting his students ready for the world. The interplay between Nick and Bobby in this chapter caring and nurturing. So different than Adrian’s almost dismissive attitude. -
The house party was a mess. Victor definitely did something to Will, and if he loves him like was potentially described, then why would you do something to hurt someone you love unless you’re trying to get them back or some twisted sense of morals. I hope Will is OK. Victor is definitely a piece of work trying to get some kind of retribution against Jonah. North Carolina is not an option, they will figure something out. Looking for the next chapter.
