    Cal took another big step in confiding in his father about the possibility of nude photos and possible “special” parties, for a lot of money. His father was supportive but said he and his mother would be there to back him financially, so he really didn’t have to resort to needing to be compromised. Things once posted seem to stay around forever.

    Gabriel has protected Ray since their first encounter. He doesn’t know why. This is an interesting twist with the quick transformation that did not happen before Ray. They do seem like fated mates. Will see if the sex changes Gabriel’s feelings or awareness.

    I’m thinking 100 Fae soldiers are like 1000 human ones, and there never really was a count of the others. Just skirmishes before. Seems more like a magic fight anyhow. Loved this chapter. She is all on board to save Desmond. Then maybe he can help undo the Helmsforth dark magic. Sorry to hear about your personal challenge.

    The title says Book 1 so I’m going out on a limb here and thinking there will be a book 2?? I was so angry at the way this ended, thinking it was the final ending. Had to take some time out to come back and comment.

    Great ending to this section. I’m curious about why they didn’t try to go deeper into the cave, or was that really the extent of the cave? I guess I’m more used to the caves in the south, where they seem to have multiple connected caverns, many with large spaces. looking forward to seeing more of the inventory of the three bags. If one was gold coins, that would be quite valuable.
