First of all, I missed Dan's Conundrum. Yay, it's back. I know it's about Chinese culture, but I think it's kind of universal thing. This could have easily been an Indian family and you would have gotten the same reactions, Marry girl from same culture, blah, blah blah... I really think Dan/Tse-Ho needs to cheer up. His cousin seems like a nice guy... Is Dan thinking of coming out to him? Is Dan not too cynical for that? Looking forward to the next chapter.

I copied this sentence as soon as I read it. "Life doesn’t always fit into neat little boxes. Sometimes we have to hammer out the corners, customizing it until it conforms to us." I see that I'm not the only one. Understandably. It's a great line. Hugs for not leaving us hanging on a cliffhanger.

Hmm, Tyler's just a rebound fling... Sigh. This is one of those situations, where everything's messed up but no one is to be blamed. Asher, Michael or Tyler were all right in their place. I feel really bad for Michael though. He didn't deserve that. He did try to contact Asher. To come at his place at 2am... he's not looking for a fling, isn't he? He's in for something serious. But now... Can't wait to see what happens next? (Though I scared, keeping in mind your mean streak with your characters. ) Tyler seems to be really sweet. But we all know that Asher's heart is already with a certain someone called Michael... So can I have him please? Pretty please? LOL

Yes, Michael did protest too much. So much is unsaid. Even Asher's reaction is hiding something. Nice chapter. Reminds me of the scream contests between me and my bf. Unless one of them calms down and shut up, things might escalate... Looking forward to the next chapter.

Ok, first of all, relieved that you didn't go the "sexually abused" direction, well, not completely. You kept true to the realism I love in this story. Again, a very thought-provoking chapter. The thing that we often hear is that how many times, abused children blame themselves for what happens. Even when told, the guilt barely goes away. But can it be healed? Maybe... That's what Dan is going to discover anyway. And we will too along with him. I loved that last line. It was funny and sad. The Dan he pretended to be... LOL. He's still young. It will take him some more years to discover everyone has a mask, a pretence they keep in front of others. It's the way of this society. It's funny and sad...

Nah, I don't think it will be for sex (that would be a huge surprise if it does happen though). Sounds like an innocent mate-date. But how innocent will the after date be.... I can't say. LOL Anyway, great chapter.

I would never kill the bug. Not because the whole killing is bad or whatever. But because I'm way too lazy. David's a really nice guy. But it's the same quality which is dragging Dan down, isn't it? Had he had some real flaws, it might have been easier to move on. But then, do you think Dan would see these flaws? More interestingly, since the whole story is from Dan's POV, isn't this why David seems so perfect? Because Dan has feelings for him. I'm pretty sure from an objective POV, he must have some flaws. My opinion. By the way, funny you mentioned the fact that Dan seems happier. Even the tone of your story has changed in Part 2. Maybe it's the content, or something else. But it's lighter and happier. Understandably, given the last chapter of part 1. So is it intentional? Ok, I'll stop rambling now. Great chapter.

But given their popularity, they are the most easily available ones (unless you look for anime on net and download). The discussion in this thread is really great. Lol. As in slow motion in real life? Hmm, glass flowing... Sounds awesome. I have heard about "supercooled liquid" somewhere in my chemistry classes but I forgot what it means (and I'm way too lazy to google it). What I would like to know: Is pitch actually melting at room temperature? As in does its molecular structure slowly change through time? Or is it just a very very viscous fluid with the molecules moving at a very languid pace? I looked for it but the range for the pitch melting varies on various webpages. This is so fascinating.

I highly doubt that the oil drop will "splat". Given the high viscosity of the fluid, i think it will maintain its drop shape. So it will be like a rock falling in the beaker. You can actually see the previous drops still in their original shape. This is interesting. Thanks for the share. Cheers Ieshwar

Michael... I just can't figure him out. There's something about him you are definitely not telling. Obviously, that's because we are seeing everything through Asher's eyes and he barely knows him. Hmmm. He does have a drinking problem. But there's more... Looking forward to discover that. I have a hunch we'll be seeing more of Jonesie.
