  1. This is so cute. Glad to see the positive changes. Cheers Ieshwar
  2. Lol. Thanks. With all those years of rust, I'm curious too to see what I'll end up writing. Warrior1, maybe, you could try to recreate the atmosphere and situations which were present when you used to write a lot. Things that worked before. Coffee, music, night time... Cheers Ieshwar
  3. Well, there was a time when I had to write every day. Even if it wasn't a lot, but I had too. Now, well... it has been years since I wrote one word (though I intend to change that). For me, it was just I didn't have enough time, I was involved in some complicated personal stuff... I wouldn't call it a Writer's Block. One thing that worked for me when I used to faced Writer's Block was Prompts. That was why I used to participate in the Anthologies a lot back then. The idea of having a given theme and a deadline worked magic for me. Maybe you could try it. There is even a Prompt section around here. Just to get things started. Hope it helped. Cheers Ieshwar
  4. I think I will have to go with Marvel. I always had a thing for X-Men. Cheers Ieshwar
  5. I played Checkers for years in school. I still do from time to time on my computer, but it isn't as fun as playing with someone. In college, I played mostly Card games but that was only during the first year. Cheers Ieshwar
  6. Are you or were you afraid of being rejected by your family and friends for being gay? If so, why? Did/do you hate/feel disgusted with yourself for it; for being gay? Do you think it's founded, for one to be fearful of having their close ones abandon them for coming out? Why?Are you or were you afraid of being rejected by your family and friends for being gay? If so, why? Did/do you hate/feel disgusted with yourself for it; for being gay? Do you think it's founded, for one to be fearful of having their close ones abandon them for coming out? Why? I think there is a difference between fear of rejection and self-loathing. For me, personally, I never had any self-loathing issue. Being gay is as natural as being straight. But do I have a fear of coming out? Yes, definitely. I remember the first time I came out. I was so scared I couldn't even say 'gay'. Lol. Just because I know it's nothing wrong that doesn't mean that the society would have the same opinion. That's what it's like in a conservative society. I know I can stand up and be different. But that's what happens in stories. In real life, it would mean daily alienation, ridicule and even aggression (I'm not exaggerating here). By the way, being gay is still illegal here. So yeah, it sucks. I understand your point though. How come if someone love you can reject you for being gay? Well, in many cases, gay guys take years to accept the fact of being gay. For someone who isn't gay and who has no idea what it is like, there is a major chance that they won't understand. As for being disgusted, I do know lots of gay who have self-loathing issue. My boyfriend hates the fact of being gay. He hates not being same as others. He does not say it much, but I know. I have known others who have this issue too. Sometimes, fiction do stem out from real life events. Cheers Ieshwar
  7. The plot sounds really interesting. It got lots of potential. And I really like your characters. All three have their strengths and weakness. Good one. Cheers Ieshwar

    The Mud Worm

Frankly, when I read the first paragraph, I noticed a 'poetry' touch in it. I think it was with the repetition of the 'mud worm'. It didn't break or divert from the story but in fact, it added a soft lyrical touch, as if reminding the reader of his lowly status. And the best part is that you took this same 'lowly status' and turn it into something beautiful with the butterfly allusion, that is, with the beauty of future. Don't know if it was intentional or that I'm completely off. Lol. It reminded me of The Ugly Duckling. Both have the same beautiful message, delivered in a simplistic beautiful manner. Really sweet story. Cheers Ieshwar I

    Poem

I remember reading this three years ago, and being completely "Wow!". Browsing the GA stories, I saw your name and just couldn't resist. Had to read it again. Three years forward, I still find it as amazing as it was back then. Awesome Cheers Ieshwar
  10. Okay, I don't know much about Alice in Wonderland. Didnt even see the movie. So I can't really compare the poem with the original story. But what I do know and can say is that the fluidity of the poem was amazing, especially the first section. The structure of the stanzas, the right choice of words... It is very obvious that you did a lot of efforts in this. And it paid off. The imagery was good too. You managed to bring out the 'cracked' part, well in tune with the theme of the anthology. I just wish I had your flair for poetry... Lol. Cheers Ieshwar
  11. Hi. Just read this story. It's really nice. I think the wordplay, the dual relationship between photography and the characters (a sort of analogy) brought it to another level. What I loved was the amount of detail relating to photography. I like when writers show the things they are writing about without going in excessive and flaunting it. Here, it was the right amount. Really nice story. Cheers Ieshwar

    part iv

I want to say this is an AMAZING story. I love the characters. I love the story. This should seriously be a sitcom. Would be so cool. Till this chapter, I think that Cameron is already starting to get an idea what it is about. Maybe on a subconsicou level... Can't wait for the next chapter.

    Chapter 1

Mind Games by Ieshwar “How was your date last night?” Sharon said as she took a seat next to Brandon. “Disastrous!” he sighed dejectedly, “The guy was using me as a guinea-pig in an experiment. Apparently, he wasn’t sure if he was gay and wanted to try something. I didn’t need to know that on my first date. I don’t think I’ll be able to date properly Sharon.” “It’s going to be okay,” she said sympathetically. “You said that last time too. Sometimes, I feel that being able to enter someone’s

Crushing the Glass Boy None can crush The Glass Boy With the boulders and Stones For fragile is his heart And not his flesh and bones Let go your arrows of lies To pierce those innocence-filled eyes Plunge your spears of hatred in that chest Filled with breath of love and sweetness Bind him with the ropes of lust And gag him with pieces of deceit Drown him in the sea of despair Relish shards of him at your feet He, who has loved, needs to be killed He, who believes in virtue, must be poisone

    Chapter 1

Hunter by Ieshwar Hunter’s blue eyes scanned the crowded cafeteria as he sipped the strong black coffee. The chase had lost its fun these days. It was really hard to find nice prey amongst the modern men. People were so easily scared by mundane things like rats, lizards or thunders. This distracted him from strong and potent fears - the kind that grip your neck, twist it mercilessly and make you see your life slipping away drop by drop. His flair picked up a fear, a rather strong one, on his

    Chapter 1

Keir crawled deeper into the shadows and settled into a familiar place – the small grimy space between the old cupboard and the dirty wall. Curled up in a small ball, and as still as the furniture next to him, the ten-year-old boy attempted to make himself invisible. Small lights, resembling deformed and ugly stars, appeared on the other side of the window. Oversized noses and monstrous foreheads pressed against the panes. Stale breath hunted for him. Yellow eyes searched for dinner while Keir w

    Chapter 1

Box of Chocolates by Ieshwar “Happy Wednesday, Mon amour”, was written on the wrapped box. ‘Larry,’ Jase smiled as he thought of his half-French half-English boyfriend. Only Larry knew how to make him feel like he was the most beautiful person in the world. Jase wondered what was the reason for such an unexpected gift. But he could already hear his soft voice whispering in his ear, “Every day in love with you is worth celebrating.” That was what he always said. Jase missed him so much; right n
