  1. Thanks, Cia.
  2. Looking forward to this month's CSR. My internet connection is not entirely reliable so I don't know if I'll be online at the end of the month. Which date will be the CSR discussion? And is it possible to have my comments/questions PM'd to someone who can post it for me, just in case I won't be available?
  3. Happy Birthday, Krista! Wish you lots of fun and love.

OMFG! That's like the highest level of sexiness!! It's the hottest thing since the sun exploded. *drools and pants*
  7. Dude, Russia isn't the sole example. India has been in the news lately for the 377 Penal and for me, the ruling has been as sick as Russia's take on homosexuality. I won't comment on the fact that Mauritius has the same stand as these countries about homosexuality. Under its modern disguise, it remains a very conservative countries. Never Surrender said about at least 10 countries and she's very right. I would rather talk about continent rather than countries. Most (if not all) of the African and Asian countries are very conservative about these issues. And I might add South American countries too. So yeah, that makes about more than half the planet. You guys are truly lucky. Believe me, every gay and every lesbian in these countries wish they were born in countries like USA, Canada, Australia or any European country. A place where you can actually live as you are or at least fight for something that is possible. Not a place where either you become the stigma of the family, the running joke or where you have to hide yourself. So yes, coming out is hard for many. It's a choice between living as a freak (which we are not!) or living like a straight (which we are not). In the end, it's a life of lie, no matter what choice you make.

Bribe him with baby seal pelts!!!! He's sure gonna agree faster than you say 'gotcha!' On a serious note, you're a great guy with a cute quirky funny attitude (well, what I saw from my online stalking). You're really cute too. Don't know about anyone else but I would surely have gifted you cute heart-shaped cards with baby seals pics on them till now if I didn't live oceans away. So besides this creepy confession, what I wanted to say is that there are many guys out there who are just waiting to meet you. If he is the one, it will happen. If not, well, just keep going till you meet that guy. Once I tasted stir fried depression. I had to tear my way through. (see what I did there... depression... tear... okay, I'll stop). So have fun. Smile. Laugh. It's the start of the new fresh year soon. Dive in with a huge grin. Live your life. Meet friends. And other philosophical stuffs which people put on huge beautiful pic. (P.S First world is the first world Earth had. They comprise dinosaurs and dragons. Third world is the last world Earth will occupy. It will be about robots and cyborgs. They will enslave humans and watch us having Hunger Games reality show... WTF is wrong with me....)

    Burnt Dreams

Argh! You can't end it here. Who's call was that? Now, that's cruel. I think there was a lot of unsaid things in there, which you (intentionally?) left to the reader. For one, Paul didn't confront Sam. So we don't know his version. Maybe he was lost in the moment? Maybe he didn't see himself with Mark again? And probably it was him calling Maya to reach Paul? I prefer to believe in a happy ending. Very nice one. I loved your writing style. I definitely need to check out your other stories.

    Chapter 1

Oh my! That was definitely a sad ending. I was truly impressed by the way you built your characters. Poll started as the weak attache, clinging to his master and his brother for support. But the turn of events changed him in his cold man(if I dare say) out for vengeance. Yet the inherent vulnerability never left him, even till the end. And there was Anthony too. He was the one who got angry when Poll wasn't called by his name. He was the one who supported him. But then he thought he possessed Poll to the point of killing his brother to not share him. I can't decide if I like or hate him... And that's what I like. And I read the whole story as a prologue, as the stepping stone for something bigger about this dystopia. Is my feeling correct? Will Poll return as the soul trapped in the ones and zeroes of the system network? It's seriously an AMAZING story. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Lol. I liked how Blake kept running into Axel on the road over the weeks? Cupid's work? Or maybe Sasha Distan's? It was a very sweet story. Each time they met on the road, you can't help but feel something that will bloom. And adding drunk girls in the mix was hilarious. Well done.

    Chapter 1

Ouch. I don't think the ending line bode anything pleasant for the rest of the dinner. I love howyou ended the story, leaving it to the readers. It was perfect. Thanks for sharing the story.

    Chapter 1

You have a knack for well-written fantasy stories. The characters, the settings, the style... I must say I loved the start of the story. You did full justice to the tension of the mother's worry for her baby's safety. And the small poem/prophecy brought a well-rounded conclusion to the story, answering the remaining questions. Though I would love to see more of these characters. Good one. Thanks for sharing.

    Chapter 1

Hmm, are you sure 15 fire extinguishers are enough? I may send some more over. Haha. I'm sure that no one would ever forget such a "romantic dinner". There was small lines thoughout the story which hinted at a true "disaster". Very clever. Very nice story about amazing persons. Thanks for sharing:) And yeah, so did the oil boil?

    Story

The bollywood touch was unintentional but looking back, it was bound to happen. The whole story was inspired and written while I listened to the songs of "Ram-Leela". And unconsciously, I've included Indian elements in the story- the forbidden love, the kingdoms, the peacocks, the oil lamps, the music/dancing and of course, the name Surya which is Hindi. Given my Indian Ethnicity, it came naturally. So I don't mind. It just seems more authentic, doesn't it? And I agree that forbidden love has been done to death in bollywood. Yet it remains something so intense and so real. And I wanted to bring forth the joy and thrills of the love along with the fear and pain of the consequences. As someone who truly admires your writings, I'm flattered that you enjoyed the story. It means a lot to me. Thank you for reviewing and reading. (sorry for the lengthy answer. I just got too excited. There's so much more that I want to say! Lol.)

    Story

Like you said, Surya's and Killian's story was indeed one cursed by Gods themselves. The contrast between love and duty was very much intentional, whether it was through the protagonists' feelings or the order of the snippets. I think that the conflict between these two opposing emotions added to the whole sense of "loss" throughout the story. Thank you, Wayne for reading and reviewing.

    Story

Defying Gods By Ieshwar Hundreds of lanterns hovered over the glass ceiling, illuminating the whole ballroom. Servants, dressed as lavishly as the guests present, threaded their way through the crowd with pitchers of wine and platters of delicacies. The massive golden pillars glistened over the silver floor. As if it wasn’t enough, white peacocks strutted among the crowd. “Seriously, Lord Lance’s pretentiousness has no limits. He brought peacocks, I mean, peacocks! This ball is obviously a
