    Chapter 10 S1

Yes, Danilo, I remember Yogi and Boo-boo as well, but they never entered my mind as I was writing this chapter.

Thanks for the feedback, Terry. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter.

    Chapter 10 S1

Obviously, Mac grandparents weren't able to do that, so it probably didn't dawn on him. Remember, Mac had no close friends other than Devin while he was growing up. He lived a very sheltered life.

    Chapter 10 S1

Yes, and now some of you may understand why Devin didn't apply for any scholarships. He didn't want to take them away from those that really needed them when he knew he didn't.

    Chapter 10 S1

Yes, that's very true, and it was apparently easier to do things like that back in the late 1800s, rather than today. I hope this chapter satisfies all of those who were unhappy that Devin wasn't sharing this information with Mac immediately, but a story of this length would obviously take some time to tell.

    Chapter 10 S1

Thank you for your comment and you are correct in that they managed the gold wisely. They knew they would have to have th is to fall back on later, in case things didn't go well in the future, and they wished to remain low-key so they didn't draw any attention to their family. This might attract unwanted contacts or people trying to gain access to their wealth, so after the initial investments, the stocks were put in Isaac and Jacob's names, not merely one, and then later some were placed in Aaron's name. As Devin indicated, he would soon be included in that, and possibly Mac will as well.
  7. Thank uou for your help with this matter and I'll remember to add the link next time.
  8. Chapter 10 – A Hell of a Tale After we finished eating lunch at the dining hall, we headed over to the building where we were supposed to pick up our student IDs. As soon as we had them, we walked back to the house to get the SUV before we headed to the campus bookstore to buy our textbooks. We decided to do this because we didn’t want to have to carry a heavy load of books back to the house after we purchased them. Not only that, but we were buying our books now because we wanted
  9. Unfortunately, the nation, if not the entire world, is becoming callous to the sadists in our society. The sadist, and some of the general population, not only lack empathy and sympathy for the victims the individual is targeting, but some of these individuals are also attempting to find ways to justify the sadist's actions. I hope this trend ends soon and never returns.
  10. To Myr, Cia, or whoever else can help me with this. I set Secrets chapter 10 to publish on 5-9-23 at 12:10 AM, and when I checked at 1:00 AM it hadn't publish. I went in to manually publish it and discovered the time kept changing with the clock, so I merely clicked the publish button and the the publish prompt and nothing happen. Can you help me with this?
  11. Actually, there are two pronunciations for sow. The first is as a noun that rhymes with now or cow and means an adult female pig. The other is as a verb and is pronounced like sew or know and means to plant seeds or scatter seeds over the land.
  12. Hmmm, I'm sure there's a sticky answer to this question.
  13. @wildone It is always a great thing that you can break out of your normal habits and try something new, you might surprise yourself! I know I did Is that the line you use on the guys you're trying to pick up?
  14. Now I'm glad I missed out on this experience.
  15. I've never tasted it either and the only marmalade I've ever had was orange marmalade.
  16. Technically, unrequited means to pay back or pay up, so you can have an unrequited service where you pay for or solicit a service but it is never fulfilled, but you seldom hear it used with anything other than love.

    Spiders

Now that's a big freaking spider. The guy needs a much larger container and possibly some help, because even if he gets the spider in the container, it could merely jump out as the guy climbs down. He needs someone with a lid to slip over whatever he catches the spider in to make sure it stays inside.
  18. Yes, I'm sure there might be a few you'd rather throw from the train.
  19. Syntax is an important element to writing, especially if you want the reader to be able to make sense of what you're saying and be able to follow along. It's also important in speaking as well, and In recent years, I've heard some politicians speak at rallies or answer reporters questions and felt they should have listened better and done their homework in their English classes. eg, do you throw papa from the train a kiss or throw a kiss to papa from the train?
  20. Even though my comment isn't technically correct, I like it better. 😅
  21. Just of our curiosity, is the use of the word farce due to the British use of the word 'arse'? Possibly they're talking about ideas that seem to come out of one's ass?
  22. A mottling of the skin, usually in the legs, may happen shortly before death.
  23. Sure, Terry, we don't discriminate.

    Spiders

William Shatner in Kingdom of the Spiders? This would have been between the Original Star Trek TV series and before the Star Trek movies. I guess he couldn't get away from those weird looking co-stars. like the Klingons, Romulans, Andorians, Balok, etc.
