  2. Interesting discussion, but I took notice of his warning. If you reveal your secret, it may get worse before it gets better.

    One Wrong Step SOK2

Yes, Terry, it was a horrible loss. First, Selvaggio to the Serpent Colossus and now Doenilio to the Condor. It just proves how dangerous their mission is and how much danger they still have to face. Thanks for the feedback.
  4. The evening was getting a little chilly and Kieren secretly wished they could build a fire to help keep warm. Regrettably, he had to accept the fact that it wouldn’t be possible. Any fire, even a small one, would instantly reveal their presence to anyone within several leagues of their current location, which included the mountain ranges. This meant prudence suggested it would be best to do without a fire, no matter how inconvenient it seemed. While attempting to think of another way to

  9. Quickly, Beraut, Kieren and the others crossed over the brief expanse leading out of the dwarfs’ realm and regrouped on the other side of the massive portal. King Brolin, who had stayed well within the confines of the tunnel, gave a final wave and began the resealing process which caused the giant door to swing securely back into place. Now, the companions were alone, with no means of retreat, as they stared at the vast emptiness that stretched out before them. Off in the distance to his
  10. But the shorts the guys wore in the 70s and 80s, especially the sports teams, were way hotter. Showed a lot more skin, that's for sure.

    Warp Drive?

This could be huge, because if Stephen Hawking is correct, the human race will need to seek out a new planet for survival, because of using up all of the planet's natural resources and not being good caretakers of the earth. The sooner something like this can be developed, the better chance mankind will have of survival.
  15. If those are the waiters, I wonder what the live entertainment will look like.
  16. Once King Brolin had completed the resealing process and had secured the door leading from the Royal Burial Chamber, he decided to share some more information with the others. “We are now about halfway to our destination,” he announced. “I chose this way because it was shorter than taking the other route, which winds its way back and forth along the upper trail. In front of you is the path that will take us directly to the portal leading into the Valley of the Dead.” Once this infor
  17. Thanks, True, and I hope you continue to enjoy this series as you wade through it. I guess it will leave you something to do when you finally reach retirement age. lol

  21. “I will be happy to grant your request,” the wizard told Garreth and Romaric, “but I think there is more going on here than what you’ve told me.” The teens immediately became uncomfortable and started fidgeting with their hands, while also trying to avoid Beraut’s intense gaze, but it didn’t seem to help. Eventually, they reached the point where they felt they had to respond. “We just don’t want to go,” Garreth advised him, hoping this would suffice, but his comment was unconvincing
  22. I think a traditional 'Bride of Frankenstein' ceremony is in order. That's bags over the head in front of a Justice of the Peace. That should lower the cost a bit and she would still be a bride, fulfilling her basic human right.
  23. Madumda had not aged as well as Beraut and his appearance made him look considerably older than the actual number of years separating him from the only other surviving member of the Council of Wizards. Even though his vast magical potential should have compensated for or even overcome the difference in their ages, it was obvious other factors had come into play. What they were, however, no one alive could say. The physical differences and lack of personal attentiveness to grooming were u
