    Chapter 19

So, it's not the son - it's the grandson, born in exile! Raithion has earned Wolfe's acceptance, and even more importantly, his respect and trust.

    Chapter 1

I like this line because it shows that Darien values his son more than material possessions, even something as precious as a weapon brought back from the Crusades. It sends a powerful message - "You (my son) mean more to me than any treasure."

THIS 👇 IS WORSE THAN THIS 👇 🤣😂🤣

    Chapter 17

But if Darien was adopted by the late Lord Haskal and inherited his title of Baron, wouldn't he also have inherited his lands and castle?

    What Horses Know

Ranching... yes, I should know the difference, but sorry - it's all just agriculture to me!

    Chapter 5

OH. MY. GOD!!! I really didn't expect this - what a revelation! We could suspect that Alexis' behavior might have its roots in childhood trauma, perhaps even involving her father... but the involvement of the highest official in the FBA? What an incredible plot twist! @JJQuinn - you are an amazing author! The horror of this revelation doesn't end with Alexis. How many more victims have there been over the years? Even now, while they're interrogating Alexis, where is the FBA director, and what is he doing?! I can understand how Alexis' twisted mind transformed her into such a brutal and cruel avenger, but why didn't she destroy James Caldwell? Or was she building a larger net to catch him?
  8. "Lost in the Sand" is the fourth book in an epic saga set during the First Crusades. It works both as a sequel and as a standalone spin-off, focusing on Prince Ishan's destiny after the fall of Jerusalem. As a group of lovable misfits' journeys toward freedom, they encounter danger, adventure, and unexpected friendships. At the heart of the story are an ordinary Spanish soldier - Seb, mistaken for the Lord of Ibelin and his lover, Prince Ishan, an amnesiac struggling to rediscover his past. For fans of The Silver Boar Saga, this novel offers a touching epilogue to Erik/Ishan's extraordinary life - as a prince, mage, amnesiac, and even an unforgettable goat husband. A warm, adventurous, and rewarding addition to the series.

    What Horses Know

It's a small world... and the farming world is even smaller! Even without recognizing the surname, it was obvious that Taggert knows farming inside and out... as a true professional!

    Chapter 16

Back from the trip, and what do I see? A cliffhanger!!! 😱 Did knowing that Ishan survived help Darien at least a little with his conscience and, in turn, with his healing?

    Chapter 15

I did expect a bit of a warmer welcome, though. Wylan probably doesn't want to overwhelm Amneziak, given their memory loss.

    Chapter 15

I really thought Erik had been led to his brothers. What a relief it was when Wylan showed up!
  14. The best sandwich in Lawrence's life! You asked about his dark eminence, @Laura S. Fox... Well, it seems to me there's an even better sandwich yet to come! 🙂

    Aftermath

If overthinking could kill, Taggert would commit a massacre! Still, bad experiences and insecurities can build huge walls. It’s not just the attention he gets from Ash, but the feeling he’s slowly getting that he’s not in a hostile environment...quite the opposite.

    Chapter 12

The Germans, the Spanish, the Frankish lords, the Seljuk Sultan - every major player in the Holy Land seems to have an interest in Seb and his companions. As I see it, the only real path to security lies with Darien and his men.

    Chapter 12

Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson - that must have been a bloody good bloodline! 😉
  20. From @Headstall's answer, it seems that it doesn't really matter - all the Crawleys are treated as equals. My thoughts about inheritance on Crawly Farm were actually more focused on how much freedom Fletcher has to leave with August and move to August's grandmother's farm. Is he expected or obliged to stay with his family? I mean, they are a great family, but having August as a neighbor to his father and brother doesn't seem like a very good idea.

    Chapter 11

Except poor Eric, he really doesn't remember! 🙂

    Chapter 11

Lord Ibelin's 'household' dynamics remind me of Lord Hascal (Darien) and his camaraderie from the beginning of the series. Sebastian's bargain involving Eric's body mirrors the similar situation with Ashot, Stephen, and the Emir. It seems Eric may have to draw the same boundaries for Sebastian that Stephen once drew for Ashot. And now, with a perfect mask, are they really going to fool Baldwin? More importantly, will they stay unrecognizable to Wylan and the others at the same time? It's a rather paradoxical situation - Baldwin is not supposed to recognize them, while Wylan should recognize Ishan. The challenge is making one deception work without breaking the other.
  23. Martin the Wise! Not only will Benjamin show respect for his family by attending the party, but, more importantly, he won't give his mother the opportunity to take control of the narrative and spread her own version of events. Instead, he'll be able to tell the truth himself and keep his family on his side. If anyone should be ashamed, it's his mother.
  24. Done!
