  1. Wise words, Benji. A good friend came back. Finally......
  2. Swim naked! Pull a me!
  3. Even if your reputation is shot, your pictures make up for it.
  4. Does that mean you're some kind of die-hard objectivist? The Charterhouse of Parma, by Stendhal. Self Portrait in a Convex Mirror, by John Ashbery. Praise, by Robert Hass.
  5. I think you should really try poetry. I write to put the uncontainable things onto paper, but prose only does that halfway. Now I kind of lean to poetry when I want something that comes directly from me to words, and prose when there's a story attached. But seriously, do do poetry.
  6. Well, test driving before committing, you know. Even though the commitment is just another test drive. But -- no regrets. At least, not yet...
  7. Aww. Poor Pepper. But honestly, Harry and Pepper? That can't have been meant to last. Pepper should find an older, less impetuous penguin. Maybe one called Salt.
  8. Wow. Maybe I will go see the movie now...
  9. My track record makes me look like a slut.

    Gumbo

    Oh my god. Beautiful. Beautiful.
  11. It's an interesting idea that HIV brought gays together, and I think it's true -- imagine the strain of all that health care without any sort of government assistance. However, I don't think we need to "worry" about HIV getting cured soon; the treatment in the article worked only because the man was losing all his bone marrow anyhow. Losing one's bone marrow is extremely dangerous, and starting from scratch with a stem cell is still a nascent technology. Some problems have a habit of taking forever to cure -- many treatments that work great in mice, for example, don't go so well for humans, and skin implants, which were thought to be solvable in the 80s, are still a problem today. On the other hand, you never know -- some things may work out easily.
  12. Well, ever since Michael Jackson died, I discovered that he wasn't just a plasticine weirdo, i.e. that he made some pretty wicked music, such as: Billie Jean Thriller Bad

    GA chat

I don't think the current layout shows the list of members who're active in chat. I rather liked that feature, because otherwise people won't know to head into chat to talk to others. Is there a way of getting this back? PS Feel free to move this thread if it belongs elsewhere.
  14. I've possibly had more sex with the opposite sex than the same sex. Damn it. Haha... no one can escape the LINE. Or absence thereof.
  15. Oooh. That explains a couple of things I've observed lately... x___x
  16. Hold up there! Better that the subconscious fears have risen and you can face them in, well, the face.
  17. Here's the review I posted on the... other place, dunno what to call it. I liked the story a lot.
  18. Haha, thanks guys. Glad you all are enjoying my butt. How about I say I'll considering turning round if I get some reviews for my fics? Also, to give a complete tabulation of the photographs' populations, the musical little boy next to me is my younger brother, and the fine lady shivering with me in the Pacific is our own Procyon.
  19. Hoppy burthday! Careful with the tigger suit.
  20. That was a great book, although almost too pungent. It makes me happy that you're reading it, hehe. Oh, I envy you... I would like to read P&P for the first time again. Ah. Yes, "Catcher..." is a great book, although I was extremely lukewarm about it when I first read it -- which is to say, I was appalled and annoyed. Now I like it. I've grown up, obviously. I finished Doctor Glas by Soederberg. It was very good -- every malcontent bourgeois should read it.
  21. I'm denying you guys a frontal of my face, buuut here's what I look like from the side, and the back. Pictures are from this summer. And read my novella while you're at it!
  22. 'Beat It' had a great music vid... lots of interesting looking guys.
  23. You could just as easily critique usage of the word 'masculine,' because it implies that a man who limps his wrist is less of a man than someone who doesn't. Although yeah, I find the straight-guy fascination kind of strange and unappealing. Very true. Haha.

I think this last bit bumped you into stalkerhood. Join the club! jk
  25. Wow, the Mathematica guy! Sounds sexy...
