Okay, just because it's different and it blurs a lot of lines between art, film, and porn. I am going to throw RoadStrip out there for people to think about. In terms of humor, sexual/emotional tension, and cinematography, which was top notch by the way, this movie deserves a mention for a gay man's must see list. Yes, it is basically a gay porn with a plot that works, but there are so many crappy art house movies out there that don't give you half the amount of acting or plot developments that this movie does. Also, in case GA Mods think I am promoting pornography, a shortened version was featured in Qfest in front of general LGBT audiences. This is the meta version of gay porn, which has some merit as a mainstream movie and made Jake Bass and Max Ryder Gay Icons in the US along with an earlier pornographic/faux reality show movie (that is just well done gay porn, so I won't mention it by name, but you guys know which one ) .

Feel free to steal this if you want, I just got an interesting idea for a story set during World War II in a German Concentration Camp for gays. Basically, what if the idea of Stockholm syndrome is played out both physically as a captive/captor relationship and psychologically in reverse, where the captor identifies with the captive as he himself is captive under his own regimented world, i.e. a guard at one of these camps? The captive can leave his confinement if he accepts a heterosexual mandated life, but he resists. The resistance weakens over the course of the story. The guard having homosexual feelings as well could accept his desires, but he does not want to join the captive. His desire grows ever greater. In this story, I wouldn't glorify abuse and atrocity, but expose it and the frame of mind that allows social pressure to justify repression and oppression. Just a crazy idea from this writer, I don't really have time to write that in addition to my Valentines story entry and Book 2.

Cia has a really good point, such relationships would be problems for our guideline rules, not to mention the idea of kidnapping or holding someone against their will is illegal. An approach for this kind of story is to set it in the pre-modern world, Roman/Greek/Middle Eastern/Chinese/other civilizations had done that with raids against native peoples by kidnapping them, then enslaving them under cultural practices at the time. Historical fiction would make such relationships feasible. Of course, science fiction and fantasy genres can do the same as mainstream authors from Frank Herbert to Tolkien have done it for heterosexual couples. It's just a part of greater narrative stories though, not merely a focus of their main story.

I know we have bondage and BDSM writers, but kidnapper/victim genre you are asking for is not one I've seen on GA in recent times. You might need to do a search of "stories" under "advance search" ---->"tags" ------> "BDSM" The list are not long, so the subgenre you may want is limited to a narrow margin of authors. What type of story setting are you looking for specifically, modern or ancient/ Western World or Middle Eastern or Asian or African/ Fiction or Science Fiction or Fantasy Some writer may include elements of that kind of relationship, but it is usually part of bigger narratives.

It probably would make an awesome story; oil rig workers made huge paydays during the peak of the oil boom in the cold icy waters of the north sea. Space is infinitely colder and more distant with infinitely more mineral wealth. "Blue Lagoon" meets "Cast Away" meets "There shall be Blood" that's just my premise, I bet other writers will use different formulas for the same settings.

However, I wonder how many people would volunteer to live out in deep space, under absolute zero conditions, fatal accidents possible with a simple air leak or a radiation shield failure, and there will be a massive time lag before the next transport could take you home. I am thinking of a story in my head on the human ramifications of space mining without high tech sci-fi gizmo's and only what we know right now. Imagine a young guy being stuck out there with only a selective few with the "Right" physical and technical skill sets to operate a mining operation, what are the chances for homosexual liasons ? (In one of my stories, highly likely )

I am starting to get fan emails now for 0's and 1's Book 1 from other websites, which is both gratifying and also surprising. I know GA has reader reviews and I've kept up with you guys very well, but how do people handle fan emails from other sites? I've answered a few at the start, but I am starting to get more, what is the best way to keep readers happy and content as an Author? Any rules that I should follow? I don't think we've ever discussed the etiquette of fan emails on GA before, mainly because we converse on the site more often than with personal emails as other websites might produce. I just feel like if your reader writes to you as a favored author, you should reply in the same form they had sent it to you.

At my age, 28, I am in that Goldilocks zone of twenty-something post graduate. So I am using myself as basis: If you are 28 and below, then the partner would be equal or greater than legal age of 18, but no more than 38 38<=28<=18 39<=29<=19 40<=30<=20 and so on.... A<=g<=B A- Age limit Max g- Your age B- Age limit Min A= g+10 B= g-10 (g+10)<=g<=(g-10) So what do you think? Anyone want to add a corollary to this theorem? Like for each decade beyond 30, you extend the 10 years by 50%
