I was surprised at Mitch's reaction when Tom hugged him. No child is ever too young to hug his father - anytime and anywhere. I have two grandson's aged 16 and 18 and they give me hugs all the time. It's an expression of love and nothing wrong should be placed on it. Kid's need to know they are loved and at aged 13 Tom is no exception. Hugs are one of the best ways to show you love a child.
For a 17 year old Anton has had a lot on his plate. It's about time he started thinking a little more about himself and his future. He's turned out to be very level-headed.
I love that Mitch doesn't take any crap from anyone. While at first (beginning of story) it might have seemed he was a little to quick to react, time has shown that he was right on and has kept a lot of people from taking advantage of him. Koodos' to him.
I absolutely loved this chapter. The discussion on religion and atheism was really an eye-opener. I wish I could have been part of that.
Cheers to all.
I look forward to that twist. I have an idea about Sebastian and his relationship with Huon. But I'll only say it when I know if I'm right or not. Don't want to give quokka a chance to change it on us.
Great chapter by the way. And I agree with everyone: What is Sebastian's agenda with Huon?
I have the same question as davewri. The story of what happened on the ship sounds different from what we read. I reread the previous chapter and saw that it was the chef who was relaying what the Captain said about Huon having dinner with him. Maybe the Chef has poor communication skills. That was the only "bad" experience he had with any of hte crew. It's sad that Huon reacted like he did, but he must have had his reasons for doing so and it seems to be working out to an interesting direction of this story - so what the hay. However I'm sure we'll enjoy Huon's travels. Having less stress and the time to enjoy travelling will do him a lot of good.
I hadn't given the Sarah thing a thought, but I think that Justleah might be on to something. Hopefully if they take on a cruise as far as Hawaii they might have some protection their. I do hope it's not the case about Sarah though. As for Simon and Anton becoming BF I too think it would be a good thing, not only for them, but for the story as well. Just because that could happen doesn't make this a gay story.
I look forward to the next chapter and to the battle that Yoshi faces. The biggest and most important battle of his life. He is surrounded by good, strong people and I am confident in his success. But at what cost? Hopefully not that of losing Midori. The deserve to be together.
Colin's a smart man. I'm glad he said no to taking whatever Amasis wanted them to drink. He knows who's in charge and that's him.
Amasis will need to be taken down a notch or two if he wants anything. I am curious to see what he's like.
Great chapter. It's good that Colin got the gay couple thing settled as soon as they arrived. Now let's see what the vampire situation is.
By the way, the chapter is all black and you can't really read it. If you highlight all of the text then the words are easier to read. The previous chapter was the same.
I'm not sure if Devon should have told the man that he and others were also vampires. I know Devon strongly believes in telling the truth, but a bit of caution would be a good idea. Lets see what's next.
I'm not sure I would like Liam to take Alex back. Of course, not really knowing Alex has a bearing on that. That's why I'm rooting for Nathan, who also deserves to be happy. He's a great guy, and if it doesn't work out with Liam I hope we see something good happen to him. That might be a great sequel.
