  1. Hmm. Rather erotic in tone. Yeppers!Time to tell.
  2. YO JOEY! GO JOEY! Happy Birthday.
  3. Well, you never know what you'll learn next on GA. Thanks Mike. It really brought home to me how a challenging and frightening situation can sometimes be resolved with relative ease when you make that resolution to be involved.

    Part 16

ATTUNGA Part 16. “Level one emergency! Level one emergency! Engage acceleration safety restraints.” Thom was the first to recover from the moment of shock and bewilderment and yelled to everyone to find a safety harness. With the automatic message still sounding, everyone rushed to comply. Almost reaching one of the seats, Wirrin staggered, and nearly fell when the transporter lurched with a sudden change of direction. Grasping for support, he pulled himself into place, and engaging his harnes
  5. Thanks Yettie and Colonian. Sharing your thoughts and insights adds, I believe, to the feeling of community on GA.
  6. Congrats for the recognition.

    Chapter 15

Hmm. Very perceptive hillj69 - Akama did have a reason for taking Wirrin to Old Country but everything was cut off by the sudden recall to the Comet. Thanks - I'm planning to explore some national parks on the south east coast of Australia - hopefully I'll combine that with some writing time
  10. Hope you've had a great day

    Chapter 15

Hooked? - that's a dirty word where dolphins are concerned. Sonic would slap you round the chops with his tail flukes if he heard you saying it.Great to hear you're still enjoying the story. Sorry about the cliff-hanger but as I've explained in my reply to Steve's review it was either the truncated chapter or an unacceptably long gap between posts.

    Chapter 15

Yes, some very tense moments - and more to come.Sorry about stopping right in the middle of the action. It wasn't my intention but I'm travelling for the next few weeks and the choice was to post now with the cut-off or post a fuller chapter when I get back, and that feels like too big a gap between postings.

    Chapter 15

ATTUNGA Part 15. “Earth, Air, and Sea!” Akama's voice rang loud and clear across the water and Wirrin, standing with Calen, Thom and Sonic, chest deep in the water by the transport module, listened to a symbolic call for Earth dwellers, Sky dwellers and Water dwellers to meet in this place which embodied those three fundamental elements so well. It was short and powerfully presented and everyone watched quietly, wondering what was to happen next. For Wirrin and Thom there had been an awkward b
  15. I haven't got a clue about the title but, Wow, that is one very evocative opening.
  16. Yes please!
  17. Of course it happens. Maybe not for the great majority of people but this is a perfect example of the exception proving the rule. And, of course, in responding to the question, people apply their own understanding of what 'love' is. - hugely variable but just as valid for star struck 'first sighters' as for those in a deep and abiding relationship.
  18. Yo Bee! Have a GREAT birthday!
  19. Thanks CJ. A very exciting chapter.
  20. Whoo! - The rest of us seem to be clueless on this one. - I think we need some help.
  21. Happy Birthday Maria!! I hope it can be a window opening to some good times for you.

    Part 14.

Hi Steve,Thanks for the review. The idea for that distinction came partially from an image of the Earth from space I saw somewhere, with the Pacific Ocean as the centre. It gives the impression almost the whole planet is covered in water.

    Part 14.

Thanks Daddydavek,Yes, particularly sad for Earth, as well as being such a short term solution. I suspect the dolphins concerned might be looked after rather well though.

    Part 14.

ATTUNGA PART 14. Wirrin watched the controlled concentration and efficiency of Thom's manner as he expertly took charge of the greatest space ship ever built. That was his description the previous evening, after being informed that he'd have the opportunity to pilot the Comet for the departure from Attunga. No one was going to disagree with him. There might be bigger vessels but their capabilities wouldn't come anywhere near to matching the Comet. Wirrin turned to Turaku. This was extension-Tur
  25. Trebs says it exactly. It all depends on the world the author creates. Any character can violate the laws of our 'real world' as long as their actions, abilities etc are consistent with those of the world they are part of. By definition 'fictional' characters can't be real. They can feel that way to the reader though, and it's the human qualities which Cia has just mentioned which a good author will use to help the reader identify with, or relate to, those characters.
