I hope I never become as jaded as the forty something in your story......
  2. Yeah, some of your stories could use a follow-up set a few years later.....
  3. Somehow your car key in your swim suit pouch doesn't seem very comfortable or cool.
  4. Barry got some hands-on experience even before closing on his bar. The name of his company is a hoot too. More please.
  5. Sexual exploitation of children is an age old problem that is self-perpetuating and seems to be found in just about every culture. Human trafficking is a real problem even in the 21st Century and it is closer to home than many realize. We think we are so civilized and yet the veneer is frightfully thin. Boys as victims are not any less vulnerable than girls. Sex is a beautiful gift that many can't seem to appreciate without making it sordid and dirty or into a power trip.
  6. Still my favorite of your stories.
  7. Congrats Aditus!
  8. The bar seems to be active and has an interesting clientele. More please!
  9. For a rainy Friday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoU7Qv6Rwec
  10. Thanks for the update. Now get your shit together and start writing whenever you get a minute! Please, pretty please! Your devoted fans including this old fart. DDK

    Bring it on!

All's well that ends well....and I guess we will just have to wait and see how NOLA works out. Great transition and of course the realtor could only be the famous Robert Rex!

    On Being Old

After seeing so many die at relatively young ages, I can't help being humbled by my good fortune at being alive and healthy.
  15. Thanks for your kind words. I worked really hard on it. I have plans for another story, but I am kind of taking a break for a bit as my real life has its own drama right now and it doesn't look like it will resolve anytime soon. Thanks again for reading and reviewing!
  16. Glad to see that you got back to this story. Providing enough facts about Bart's past without it becoming another book was part of my difficulty in getting through to the end. Good catch.
  17. Happy Birthday! & Many, many more!

Don't over think it too much regarding the other reviews. One of the problems with a serial story is that people start relating to it in a very linear way. Having gone back and reread the story, I see how you are developing the diverse threads in their lives and I have great hopes you can tie them all together down the road.

    Here We Come!

I figured that they would choose the Big Easy. At this point, anything that keeps them together is the best work around. Since I figure you know the city, you can really take advantage of the locales, describing them from a personal point of view. Good job Robert! Now more of the Barry, aka Bulldog and Dave show!
  20. I caught some Britains Got Talent from last year on YouTube and the winner was Collabro. Here they are singing: "How Will I Know" at Brighton Pride 2014

    Chapter 6

Teenagers finding their way....a way which can have many forks in the road. Life is a journey and your characters will find there are always some bumps in the road too.
  22. I'm sorry for your loss. Hug!
  23. The carrot and stick approach does seem a bit obvious on the part of the FBI and Barry and Dave clearly saw through the motives of the AD and the Bureau. Still, there are the upsides and it is worth considering.....
  24. Information, disinformation and misinformation and the manipulation thereof seems to be a universal human trait.
  25. For those of us old enough to remember watching the original Star Trek episodes as they aired in the sixties over the course of just three short seasons, none of us could have envisioned the series would become iconic and spawn the conventions and later movies that it did. I was an avid fan then as I had already become something of a sci-fi fan. Nimoy as Spock was a cool example of clear thinking and a perfect foil for Kirk. Bones, Scotty, Uhura and the rest were really an ensemble cast in a series before much was made of such innovations. Leonard Nimoy, RIP
