Jex keeps thinking up more ways to spend money...no mention of how much is coming in or whether the cash flow is sufficient to support all these ventures. He makes one mention of his solitary life, but we still have no clue and from all appearances he is asexual. -

Poisonous snakes and spiders are endemic to Australia...and even experienced people can be taken unawares. I figured that Bailey was mute and now it is clear why. He risked a lot to save Rayne and thankfully it worked out. Harlan has a hardon for Bailey and I think it's probably the first time in his life that anyone has got to him like that...

I wanted to let this story get a head start so I could enjoy reading several chapters without having to wait. I am not disappointed as I enjoyed the first chapter and will see what else is revealed in the next!
