I remember that, The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite series. Tolkien drew on a lot of old legend and fact when he wrote the series, especially where the culture of the Shire was concerned. Before homsexuality came to be regarded as immoral it was quite common place in the old Roman, Greek, Sumerian, and Celtic tribes. Women had their place in the tribes/villiages as did men and children. It wasn't uncommon for Men and Women to develop close, loving bonds even if married to a member of the opposite sex it was actually encouraged to strengthen the bonds of the tribes/villages. It has to be pretty cold to start bothering me. I have funky bio-chemistry or something so I actually produce heat like a furnace. I know that sounds out there but my cousins and my ex boyfriend can testify to the reality of it. I'm good between 75 to 80 F and I don't get cold COLD unless it hits the low 40s to uper 30F My cousin Katie hates being in car with me when the weather is cold because I cause the windows to fog up when I get in, just by sitting there doing nothing lol.

I've only ever had a few straight guys as friends, and they didn't last long. I've never been asked "do you think I'm attractive" but I have been asked "would date/sleep with me if I were gay?" on several occasions. I guess there is really only two books, at the moment, that have affected me on a deep level. The Collective works of the poet Robert Frost was my first introduction to poetry which lead to me to start writing. This one is going to sound childish but a Book by D.J Conway called Mythical, Magical Creatures is what really changed my life. I had always been facinated by mythology, magic, and mythical creatures as a kid. When i first got the book i was only thinking about expanding my knowledge of Mythical creatures but it was my first introduction to Pagen beliefs. If I hadn't picked it up in the bookshop I might never have started on my Path to Wicca.

Hmm embarrasing tv shows.....I still watch the old Nanny reruns when I can lol. Due to watching my cousins I've developed this liking for the cartoon Phineas and Ferb too.

Thats what always gotten me about the "sanctity of marriage" crap that their always throwing around. If the legal union between man and woman is so sacred then they need to abolish divorce. I mean think about it logically, what could be a bigger threat to the "sanctity of marriage" then a legal means of abolishing the union itself.

See I couldnt't agree more with this statement. Don't get me wrong I don't think little Susie and little Johnny should be given details on the mechanics but explination at an earlier age of the difference beftwen heterosexuals and homosexuals could be an invalueable way of teaching the next generation. Don't get me wrong at a younger age children are very impressionable and that can be used for all the wrong reasons. But at that age their also more open, its easier to instil concepts of acceptance and compassion; more so then when their 13 or 14 and have been plugged into a universe of negative programing involving rasicim, homophobia, and inequality. The problem is very few parents, even open minded and accepting ones, want their children to be taught anything even remotely sexual at that age.

I'll give it up to you, Hate is an enduing quality of the Human race; but it doesn't have to be. The first step is of course some sort of Law/ constitutional ammendment to ensure punishment to guilty parties, but thats not enough. You have to be progressive, you have to teach the innocent as well as punish the guilty. Hate can't endue forever, people ahve to stand up to it, have to fight it. If not we might as all just go cut our own throats now, hate only leads to one thing. Destruction.
