A collection of Flash Fiction, from both my Flash Fiction February and My upcoming Flash Fiction Fridays. Each chapter is a stand alone story of 3000 words or less.

Across the pool is a boy that I remember from my childhood. A boy that I remember hating for being gay, among other reasons. But I also remember how I came to love him and discover new things about myself.

Having survived his tour of duty in Iraq during the worst of the fighting, Doc Tompkins was looking forward to returning home and putting the carnage and the horrors of war behind him. Content he was leaving it securely thousands of miles behind him, along with all the chickenshit the US Army can inflict upon its best and brightest.

Going home never looked so good…or did it?

In a world ravaged by despair and an unspeakable curse, the Gods lie imprisoned and forgotten, their followers all but destroyed. When a merchant unexpectedly bestows kindness on a stranger, a series of even stranger events sweeps Mordred on a quest to kill a dragon, talk to the dead, and learn how to play the flute.

A poem.

Hiding part of what makes you who you are may sometimes seem necessary. And sometimes you may hide a part of yourself so well that you don't even realise that it exists. Danny Murphy seems to be living a charmed life. But he has a secret; one that he tries to keep so well hidden that he doesn't even want to admit it to himself. However, if he is hiding part of his real self, not just from others but also from himself, is his life really as charmed as it may seem?

Poem

After six months away, Brendan returns to Ft. Myers to find that his lover has vanished into thin air. Strangely, nobody seems very concerned.
