Maximillian Lucente is the teenage leader of the Consortium, the only surviving connection of the human race to the Races of the Myths, the denizens of Otherworld hidden from the eyes of Ourworlders. On his seventeenth birthday, on the day of his Assumption, he finds his sister kidnapped, his vampire tutor gone and presumed dead, and his world and his leadership crumbling around him. Rumors of war and dissension abound, sealed by the Faerie Queen’s open aggression.

Jarrett Ray and Greer Spaulding are best friends and lovers, but they are also archeology majors at the University of Arizona. When they get a chance to go on a dig with one of their professors, it turns into an experience they won’t soon forget and possibly one the world won’t soon forget either.
