Although written in modern times, most of James' work features coming of age themes or young adults, taken from his experiences as a young lad growing up in the late 90s. Lee typically writes family-based, slice of life stories. Occasionally, he diverges from the norm and dabbles in comedy, science fiction, and a few times, poetry. He also isn't afraid to shock you with violence of any kind but is a nice guy who warns you it's coming in that chapter. Mix that in with emotional impacts, tugging at your heartstrings, and you get a little bit of a ride while reading.

Originally from the land of Shakespeare, I've been slogging away at writing for many years (on and off). It's been fun, hard work, but rewarding and has been a great discipline for someone who treats writing as a past-time rather than as a way to put food on the table. I've had a couple of successes, lots of failures and have finally learnt how to take feedback, whether positive or constructive, gracefully, and in the way it's given.
