NaPoWriMo - 2017 - 17. April 17 : My Apologies

Prompt : My Apologies
Write a poem that is an apology to someone, something, or everything.

I sometimes got so angry with the naughtiness of my niece and nephews. Today one got a slap for showing his attitude and not listening to me. But, You know how we love them. As he started to cry, I cried as well. This explaining him in a smooth way. He just don't listen much and you they can't stop being them. More naughtiness and those heart soothing smiles.

My Apologies

An apology
For slapping you
For not looking at me while I talk

An apology
For angry words
For the naughty work you did being a child

An apology
For breaking promise
For the trust of your parents on me

:thankyou: to Val for helping me by providing me the prompts. :thankyou: to all for reading, liking, and reviewing. All mistakes are undoubtedly mine.

The last line about breaking your brother's (or sister's) trust gave me chills. This was a terrific poem, Emi. Kids will be kids, but  yeah, they can drive you crazy! lol

They drive us more than crazy. But I have changed myself and how I behave in front of them, from that day. What funny is my sister and her husband told me to be not so hard on him when I went to get him. I told my sister what happened, and she is fine with it now. And my nephew is back to normal self the very next day. But, yet, I had changed myself a lot to get their affection towards me rather than their fear. And still they will be cautious of me when they cross the line. I am always there as their good uncle and a strict one when they do silly. I know I love them and they know that too...
