NaPoWriMo - 2017 - 4. April 4 : Mother Nature Calling

Prompt : Let your poem tell of a small, resonating memory of a moment’s observation of the natural world. Try it as haiku as well as a longer poem. Or go cosmic.

Seashore

Long blank road ahead
Tiny rays hit the skyline
Vast blue sea appears

College Tour

A lake, I see, is full of floating red lotus
Bunch of egrets dive and hunt those tiny beings
Cranes tussle with the walking ducks and win, as
Dust whisk along with the whirl of air, clogging view
Enormous waterfront the village resided
Fleeting, we drive past the pond as splash with cool breeze
Girls' widened eyes was not just a fun sight to watch
Hardening their red cheeks making us blush as well

In grey Trax we are visiting places around
Journey through the scape, I never ever forget

A big thanks to Val for helping me by providing me the prompts. Thanks to all for reading, liking, and reviewing. All mistakes are surely mine. And I'd like any suggestions for crafting those poems in future.

You did a great job with this prompt.  The haiku is one of your best.  Very clear and succinct.  The longer work expands the haiku nicely.  Now I feel like I need to write a longer companion piece to my own response to this prompt. lol  Nicely done :)

I enjoyed your college tour, especially. Wish I could have tagged along!

We have enjoyed a lot. It was a great tour, visiting historical places as well as places that are destined for students particularly. I could never forget that lake/pond. It was a fascinating view. I am glad my poem made you to wish for tagging along. That's a great compliment. Thanks for reading and reviewing Parker.

Sounds like a great college!!! :)

It's not the college, it's a tour conducted by our collage to take students and visit some historical places. On the way we drive past a lake/pond, which is described here. BTW our collage is not that special one. We, the students, made it special.

Thanks for reading and reviewing tim. :)

Thanks you so much for each and every compliment Val. I really appreciate them. My Haiku, as perfect as you say, is the result of efforts of Ben. He is a good teacher. I am glad you liked and enjoyed reading it. And thank you for reading and reviewing. :)

I'm with Parker; I wish I was on that college tour also! :)

Thank you so much Lisa. It was a great tour, visiting all those places and all. This pond is one I would never forget from the tour. I wish we could plan a tour/trip to roam around the nature and all. Thanks for reading and reviewing Lisa. :)
