NaPoWriMo - 2017 - 14. April 14 : A lot to Regret

Prompt : Regrets Only
Write a poem about regrets. It can be holy or mean-spirited or anything in between.

A lot to Regret

Regrets
A lot to count
In my life, as I look
But repenting on it makes me
Tranquil!?

Display of ego
Aggressive towards parents
First regret of all

Meeting him that night
Plating a heart for slaughter
Exploring bareness
Letting him exploit a soul
Second and more hurtful one

Being lazy
Acting cozy
Benefitting others
Leaving ours
Expecting everytime
Disappointing all time
Regrets we count
But so much to mount
We complain life is unfair
We must learn what is, actually, FAIR.

:thankyou: to Val for helping me by providing me the prompts. :thankyou: to all for reading, liking, and reviewing. All mistakes are undoubtedly mine.

asamvav111 brought up a good line - one that struck me as well.

I like the pace of this poem...it's almost hypnotic. It has a really strong concept (one I may steal borrow sometime in the future...? Hehe).

That line also got to me as well.

This was a great poem, Emi. There was so much there I could relate to. :(

I agree with the other reviewers, that is a very powerful line.  I also love the last two lines.  Great job. :)

Good poem. Thank you.

Thanks for quoting that line and it was what I actually felt when I got betrayed by my Ex. And all those things I regret on...

Thanks for the nice words and reading and reviewing. :)

Thanks for the great review and continuous support. I am you felt like that. And I don't mind you stealing/borrowing/whatevering the concept if felt like it. Thanks for everything. :)
