Aditus' prompts and circumstances - 17. Poetry Prompt 7 - Blank Verse: No. 9
Write a poem in ten lines of blank verse (defined in the usual way as non-rhyming iambic pentameter) as an address to a friend or a loved one. OR, if you're feeling adventurous, write a speech (or speeches) for a character (or characters) whom you've created, all in blank verse.
9.
The only words I ever heard from you,
about tomorrow is, I quote: ‘No chance!
Annoying shit!’, and ‘Wasting of my time!’
Quotation ending here. I wonder why,
all of a sudden, coming over then.
Why asking all those questions? Tell me! Why?
Hmm Curiosity? Fat chance! No way!
I know you better my friend. Ha! You heard
that little rumor. Right? The magic name.
I knew it! Jo-nah! So predictable.
I wrote it as part of my one poem a day attempt aka NaPoWriMo. Quite the ride.
