Lux's Indulgences - 23. Expert

I've spent my entire life

Learning how to do something

Getting better,

Progressing slowly,

Persevering against bitter problems

And acid opinions.

Don't pay me to teach you

If you are just going to do what you want

Don't come for lessons

If you just want an easy way out

Don't waste my time

If you will just ignore

All my advice.

You are ignorant

You don't even know

What you don't know

If you don't trust me

To help you see

To peel back the layers

And delve at the kernel,

The very heart of the matter

Stop calling me

Sensei.

I can feel the dark colors emanating from this poem; your annoyance is palpable. I can only say that I sometimes feel this way too.
