Exquisite Corpse and Other Collaborations - 1. Refuge

This was a very interesting experience.  i am at a loss for words really about the feelings the end result evoked.  when i sent You the final lines, Sir ... i felt rather like i did the first time i posted anything, kind of scared but hopeful.  the final poem which appears with no edits...is wow.  just wow.

Mac Sir and tim this is so good!  
it's hard to believe that you only had the last line of the previous stanza, it flows so well

the imagery is vivid and the emotion is so real, almost palpable

the last stanza evokes such peace, calm and hope after some of the more raw emotions of earlier

well done!

Gentlemen, this is a wonderful experiment! The results are beautiful ... I hope we'll see more from your collaborations!

You guys! This is brilliant. You communicate tumult, and end with hope. When I think of how you’ve achieved this, I’m left absolutely amazed.

Fascinating indeed. It is very interesting to see how this turned out so whole and complete.

I wonder if the fact that the authors know each other pretty well has had influence.

Seeing this done by two strangers would be very interesting. Would the result be equally good?

We couldn't predict how this would turn out, and I'm pleased it turned out so powerful. The next one, and the next one, might not be so cohesive, but the unknown factor makes it all the more interesting. No editing, no second-guessing. Thanks for your willingness to give this a try, tim.

You're very kind, Reader, thank you. It was an interesting exercise that could have resulted in any number of possibilities - good, bad and everything in between. We'll see how the next one turns out.

Freerider, you've brought up a very good point here, thank you. There may be some validity to your theory, however I would need to experiment more. Care to do one with me?

The good thing about both of you, is you're willing just to do it, no matter the outcome. It's the fact that you try that's important. I look forward to all your efforts, and not just those with tim, Mac.
