@Mikiesboy Take a visual scan of the 3 free-verse sections. What do you notice?

I can see why this particular chapter would be difficult. Yet is is exquisite, and it transports my imagination to your many worlds and thoughts, all via your armchair. Thank you. 

Um ... there is flow, flight,  connection, Sir?   What do you see?

Neither of us knew the length of each line of free-verse that the other was writing, right? You wrote 2 lines, shared the last with me. I wrote 2 lines, shared the last with you. And yet, when you look at the structure here in the completed piece, the 4 lines of each free-verse mirror one another in form. The symmetry is mind-blowing.

Oh, yes, i see it, Sir.  You could fold it in half... that's very cool.  To be honest, i really had doubts about this one, but it came out really well.

it's those last two lines, though, that hit me hardest

Words can shatter lives and worlds; they can open your mind and hearts

But a silent pen is a shame, another voice unheard in a world where all voices should sing. 

you've both been given a gift, the gift of words

and it is to our great delight that you share this gift with us

my hope is that you always find something that starts the words flowing

Beautifully done Mac Sir and tim. Your shared thoughts blended so naturally. A single line from this collaboration speaks to the feeling of the piece as a whole.

Damn, you two write beautifully.  If you're this good without knowing what the other is doing ... maybe you should collaborate and work together.  Stunning. 

I agree with Mike. It's Stunning. I have no other words, as I lack them currently.

However, I needed this. I was feeling pretty low about my own works, that sent me into a downward spiral of depression yesterday. I'm glad you two posted this.

The intuitive process by which you both create these masterful pieces, blows my mind. It shows in how seamless this collaboration comes together. This is just incredible. Brilliant.

There are no accolades high enough or good enough to express how good these word are and the power they have to make me feel...

The haibun format was chosen by tim. he then changed his mind, but I insisted we stick with his first instinct. I said we needed the challenge - and challenging it was! Thank you for your kind words about it, Parker. We are pleased with the outcome.

Thank you for the support, molly. Those last two lines that hit you the hardest are tim's. Doing this particular collaboration reminded him that he shouldn't "put away his pen", which was the point of the exercise. No one should put away their pens, because every voice matters.

Thank you, Mike. Your support of these "blind" collaborations means a lot. I think you're right that tim and I could produce some great work together through open collaboration.

A, I'm glad to know that this piece held personal meaning for you and helped lift you out of that spiral. Don't get too frustrated with your writing. We're all guilty of moments of doubt and frustration, but the pen must write!
