    Chapter 1

Okay, I was spoiled that the protagonist is a cat. But my sixth sense told me that there's something about 'Wayne.' It's right there in the words. I mean, 'wolfing' down his food. Lol. Amazing!

    Chapter 1

I read this a while ago, and I had a thought: isn't this story actually the perfect recipe that Caden was looking for? The sweetness is brought by the characters and their banter, balanced by the acidity brought by the Bleach cameo, and topped by the powerful and unexpected ending! Really liked this. Thanks for sharing.

    Chapter 1

It's a behemoth of a 'short' story, but what a story! It's lengthy, but at no point did I feel like it was losing steam in terms of pacing. I actually wanted more of it! Kudos for the ambition and the effort to bring that ambition to fruition.
  4. Better than my one out of fifteen. And yes, that's including my story.
  5. First of all, Congrats to @Gary L for the win! Emptying the Library is really deserving. Thank you, @Cia for another amazing Secret Author contest. And bravo to all writers for having stumped me with your ingeniosity! 😝
  6. Seconded! To be fair, you killed a man this year as well. It's right in the title: Murder At 9th and Tom And this year, you had the cat witness the murder... (and the year before you had the cat lost...)
  7. I say you emulated @Mark Arbour for The Ledger (which is absolutely fantastic btw) I don't believe you. I think @CassieQ is right about you having written Gemma. Hmm....
  8. My guesses for now: Wrong Window - @Thirdly Murder At 9th and Tom - @CassieQ Gemma - @drsawzall The Ledger of the Howling Void - @Kileoli The Ledger - @Topher Lydon

    Chapter 1

Really well written. I loved how the the two stories flowed into each other; they were not only connected but each one enriched the other. A beautiful story with a message that echoes over decades.

    Chapter 1

How wonderful! Of course, I liked the romance and chemistry. But what I loved was how messy and human the characters and the relationships were. SA really brought Mike and Shane to life.

    Chapter 1

This was fun! I wasn't expecting others to see the genie but I loved how everyone just rolled with his chaos. Thanks for the story and the laughs, SA!
  12. I'm halfway through the stories and I've got 1 and 13 so far. I'll keep an eye out for the others.

    Chapter 1

A pretty cool story. The imagery really stays with you. I liked how evocative it was, right from the first sentence.

    Chapter 1

A really sweet story, in more than one sense of the word. I especially liked the whole world building around the lore of Fig deities. Nicely done.

    Chapter 1

She knew or at least, heavily suspected there was someone was in her house but the problem was that no one believed her or tried to help me. I guess, the breakdowns made her seem even more unstable. I was re-reading the story and it hits differently when you know the ending. On first read it seems like Gemma is just neurotic when her stuff gets displaced. But she's actually freaking out that her stuff is moving when she's supposed to be leaving alone. Seriously fucked up.
