It's 2017... how did that happen?! Ups, downs, good or bad, time marches on. As we look ahead to what may come in 2017, maybe even making a few resolutions, I can't help but enjoy looking back at the past. Given that Mikiesboy recently finished a historical story--with a bit of paranormal thrown in for fun--I wanted to give readers a chance to enjoy this short story hopefully everyone will have the time to finish and be ready for the discussion day on Monday, January 30th.

This is actually great timing too. I have a few more theories and/or thoughts since I did my review. This will be the perfect place to bring them to light and see how off the wall - or not- my thinking is. :D

Quite unusual story for this genre, but very captivating. The ending was rather unexpected but logical in retrospect.

Thanks Cia for selecting this story. It is an honor and I sincerely appreciate it. 

 

 

The Pledge was something that I'd partially written a number of years ago. I added to it because I always liked Tristan and I wanted people to know more about his background.  

 

Thanks for all the comments so far. I'll note January 30 in my calendar!! Wouldn't want to miss it.

Okay, I don't mind appearing as a total idiot, but what is a CSR Discussion Day and how does it work? I have looked, but didn't find an answer.

CSR stands for "Can't Stop Reading".  The first Monday of every month features the CSR story to give people the month to read it.  The last Monday of the month is the discussion day, which features an interview the author and the opportunity for readers to ask questions, which the author responds to that day.

So we read the story if we haven't already, and then come back here on the date and time and meet with the author Mikiesboy. Then there's a Q&A related to the story.

CSR (Cant Stop Reading) or in my world, Customer Service Rep!  Cia in this case chooses to feature a story, give everyone a few weeks to read it and then we meet back here at on Jan. 30 to talk about. You can tell me what you think, ask questions, whatever. 

 

And you are FAR from being an idiot, William!!!  You're a very good writer and I love your work.

Big congrats tim! Of course, were it up to me I'd have chosen After the Past, cause that story is just the best, but the Pledge certainly works too. Hopefully I can think of something good to add to the discussion.
