Conversations. Sometimes it’s too much, sometimes too little, formal, informal, clumsy, artificial, with another word: difficult. Let’s practice, Shall we?
#253
Someone is on the bus. The guy beside them fidgets the whole time with an irritating tinkling bangle while telling them, it seems, their entire life story, including very personal things. It’s time to pop in the earbuds.
When it’s time to get off the bus, the talker has disappeared and the strange bangle is now on th
I've been working on a new sort of story, a sort I've never really written.
I'm writing a story about a "what if" scenario. It's a tale, set in a world much like our own, with one key difference. That is, it's written in a world where Love is Love. Where healthy relationships of all kinds are simply accepted, and there's no social pressure to be something you're not supposed to be.
The difference is actually quite profound. I have to think about it. I have to constantly rewrite bits, b

Well, I put the Mainstream book review series on hiatus after finishing off my reviews with the classic Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin.
Some readers may wonder, why did I stop? Well like I noted, I think I overdid it with my daily reviews. I gave too much content for interested readers to read, it became a daily newsletter email. Book reviews should be fun or neat things that give readers guideposts for certain things, if they are preparing to purchase a new book for reading.
I read

Saturday night at 11:05 PM, I lost my dad to a long and slow battle with dementia. He was relaxed and comfortable when he passed and luckily all 3 of his children were by his side.
I thought I would take some time to tell you about my Dad.
He was born in 1940 to parents that lived in military base housing. His Dad was in the military and luckily never got called overseas to fight in WW2. Luckily Dad never had to move base to base other than once. His early years were in Ottawa and then
This is the Eagle Nebula. It is otherwise known as M-16 or "the Pillars of Creation". As a star forming region, it has long been studied. The Hubble's images from the nineties have given us a better look at it than ever before. We can now see structures that no telescope ever before could resolve.
This gave us a chance to see these gems.
All of these artifacts are gas, dust, multiple stars in the process of formation and their interactions.
The Demon is five major stars form

Aluminum is another element that does not exist on earth in a pure elemental form. It comes from a mineral called Bauxite.
Aluminum is processed from Bauxite into an industrially useful form by an energy intensive two-stage process. Discovered by Hans Christian Orstead in 1825, it was another sixty years before it became available in industrial quantities.
A flashback for the older group - do you remember when???
Aluminum trays were used in early frozen meals, known as TV dinners, to contain and heat the food:
Origin
Gerry Thomas, a salesman for C.A. Swanson & Sons, came up with the idea for the TV dinner in 1953. He was inspired by the pre-made food trays served on airplanes and Clarence Birdseye's fl
That's just.... Wow! I don't know what to say except thank you to @Myr for putting this together! Unfortunately, it also means more reading material, which I don't really have time for at the moment... back to shifting my schedule around.😈
I know aluminium has many uses along with a number of pronunciations and two spellings. My most common use now is the incredibly useful aluminium foil. When I was a kid most cooking pots and pans were made with aluminium. Even the first electric frypans were made using aluminium. Modern pots and pans tend to be stainless steel or ceramic. How tastes and technology change!
For some reason, I clicked on link and came first to comments. I thought @chris191070 was exaggerating in his praise but as I kept scrolling up and up and up, I realized that Chris was spot on. This is sharing data in such a useful way. It’s great to see how newer authors here are creeping up the lists to “challenge” the ever present authors from many years ago. On that note, a special mention to @Robert Hugill, and to @chris191070 himself who gets a number of mentions!
Many thanks
Magnesium Is a low density light metal that is often used in alloys where strength and light-weight are necessary. It has broad applications in the aerospace, automotive, and electronics industry.
A persistent mystery regarding magnesium is why does it appear in nodules on the deep ocean floor?
Magnesium Nodules
Etymology. From New Latin magnēsium, from Ancient Greek μαγνησία (magnēsía), after Μαγνησία (Magnēsía, “Magnesia”), a region in Thessaly. Coined by British chemist Humphry Davy, as a modification of his original suggestion, magnium.
