    I want to get into the question of the week right away   I loved the Weekly Prompts this week from Aditus! So much so that I'm going to borrow his question  Do you listen to music, and if you do, what do you prefer? Radio, streaming, playlists, one person said satellite TV/ Maybe someone out there has an 8-track or cassette player that they haven't retired. I'm jumping in here to create a character list for my story, Blades of Ashes (BOA). It's turned into a bit of an epic project, which was unexpected, but I'll keep going. Who am i? I went to Kentucky. My brother's funeral was on Saturday, and I needed to be there for a number of reasons. Chief among them was my mother. She needed support. She needed to know she wasn't alone. Writing your way. What does that mean? We all have a method, a way of working. That's great—until we start looking at other writers who may be faster, or who we think are better or more talented. Resume Fluffing

So in my job search to enter the legal field (either as a receptionist, a paralegal, legal assistant, etc etc) I had my resume redone by some nice paralegal lady I met in a Facebook group. Motivation

Comprehensive 2025 Reading Report -- Wow!!!

After an "eventful" last few days over the New Year (you can read all about it in the comments in Chapter 7 of Medellin), I got such a nice surprise this morning when I saw the 2025 reading stats, especially that Swing for the Fences was the #2 most recommended story of 2025, and ranked in the Top 10 in eleven different categories. Speculative Fiction, Progression Fantasy, and STEM/Academia Romance   It's been 10 years since I wrote 0's and 1's, but I've still gotten occasional fan mail and people asking me to keep writing the sequel novel, which I had abandoned. Holiday Update 2025

Happy Holidays to everyone! I really miss celebrating Christmas (as a cultural holiday, not a religious one, since I'm not Christian) back in the States.
