Hey everyone. I notice that are a lot of new names floating around the site, so if you are one of those, hello.

In case a few people were wondering what had become of me, I decided to update this blog.

I am still alive, but life has become interesting, as it tends to do sometimes.

Firstly, I was called for jury duty for the entire month of July. THAT was fun.

Secondly, as I am the most senior employee in my company after my boss, I was basically running an understaffed clinic with untrained new employees since about May. While my boss went on TWO vacations.

My last remaining guinea pig has been diagnosed with cancer.

So has my grandmother on my mom's side. She is undergoing surgery next month that is going to result in half her face being removed followed by a still unknown amount of radiation.

Needless to say, I have had very little time to write or even be on the site lately.

I miss you guys. I hope to have something new up soon.

Cassie, I'm soooo sorry to hear about your grandma. Why do they have to remove half her face? Sorry, that's probably too personal, but so sad.

 

Seems like you have your hands full at work also. Sorry about your guinea pig. :(

 

We've definitely missed you here and missed your input. :)

 

I'm sending you lots of cyber hugs and chocolate (hopefully you like chocolate!). :)

Oh! And Adam Lambert has a new CD out. I TOTALLY didn't recognize him w/o all his makeup. lol I like your pic better. :)

I rarely get on either Cassie, life gets in the way. I'm still with Stuby via Skype everyday, he's working in a job he hates so that will be ending soon. I'm scrubbing up on some basic maths while I'm waiting for my next degree course to start, and I'm part way through a new story.

I keep coming here hoping some friends are about but it's rare I see anyone.

Lisa, she has oral cancer.  So they are having to remove part of her jaw, cheek and the roof of her mouth.  She is meeting with the reconstruction doctor next week.  She was at my parent's birthday party last weekend and it was very hard for her to eat any food because she is having so much pain.  :(  

 

I miss all of you and like hearing what you guys are up to.  I'll try to be on here more often the next couple of weeks.

Hey Cassie I am also the New bee here... I do respect the seniors though... I'll be with you when you are free to be here... And I hope Your Grandma will Get Well Soon... :) :)
