Dom, I actually switched back to the old style pre wireless keyboard. I have a wireless one and hate it. It ate batteries like mad.....give me the good old fashioned keyboard with a mouse to plug into it..and it saves on batteries that only need to be recycled and mess with the environment..any way, that's my excuse..um, I mean story, and I am sticking to it.

I am glad to hear that your dog is adjusting:)

Back East we have had super strange weather (in a day it can go from 60 degrees to 20 degrees...one week we had a record snow fall in one day (over two feet) on a Sunday and by Friday all that snow was melted..

Mother Nature isn't happy with us....and those who think there is no global warming..yeah right!

Good luck with the wireless keyboard.

Hey Dom!

:hug: you remind me of myself with that mouse thing. Mine's still (thankfully) on a wire, but I stroll around and leave stuff in random weird places all the time. My cell phone is the worst! I can't count the number of times I've had to get online and ask someone to call me so I could find the stupid thing.

:off: You haven't lived till you've mixed up toliet bowl cleaner with air freshener

I think you've just put your finger on the solution to the remote problem though; tie a strong around it or something and attach it to your living room couch :P:boy:

Glad your dog is settling in so well. The cod liver oil sounds like a good idea; you should probably take some too ;)

I'm something of a vitamin/supplement freak. I don't take cod liver oil though, but I take fish oil which works similarly.

LOL Vic, and Mina is really adorable!!

Have an awesome day everyone and take care (and cod liver oil)

Oooh!! I take cod liver oil, it really helps my joints!! I know I sound old, lol, but joint problems runs in my family, and I used to get really achey, but now I'm much better, I take one cod liver oil tablet every day. :D:D :D Sooo I guess it would work for dogs too :D

Hey Dom,

Just finished reading DD35, and as I was concluding the chapter iTunes started playing a song by Mae called "Giving it Away," the acoustic version. The confluence of the two...just, wow.

Takes a lot these days to make me go emo, but damn did this work.

I highly recommend the song, and I'm continually impressed by the development of your writing. As much as I enjoyed TLW, it's remarkable to see the stylistic improvements. You are, quite simply, da man :worship:

Take care, da man...can't wait for the next chapter, unless college kills me first.

Dom, I am so glad that I have found your stories on Nifty...which led to my joining of your Yahoo group...which then led to my admission into GA.

Lately, I have been putting down the old Orwell, Hemmingway, Zindel, Bradbury...and been filling up my book case....rather my hard drive with the great DomLuka. You're stories are magnificent and really a test of time. I do hope you look into getting a publishing deal...because i would definetely purchase your stories as paperbacks...maybe hardbacks?

You truly have a talent...and the way you describe those self-discoveries, personal growths, and emotions of your characters really touch me.

So I just wanted to say: thank you for being a great influence in my life...lol that sounds weird...I haven't even met you. :P

But it's very true. You're stories really have changed my perspectives on life...especially the line where Rory says he hates wasting all that time in the beginning of DD by being an asshole to everyone around him.

Once again, Thank you.

-Danny

p.s. Does this mean that DD36 is going to come out within days? Cause you said it might not even take weeks! you're stories are like an addictive drug...once you get your fix you feel so high and great...but the withdrawls suck @ss...

p.p.s. What is your email Dom? I would love to send you one personally so you don't have to reply to me through here. Okay...tootles!

first of all, you're a terribly evil child (i just read ch. 35). and i've got about 2 months on you, so i'll call you child if i please.

second, i'm glad you've stopped thinking about putting the puppy down. i couldn't even imagine putting down a pet. my horrible mother always took pets away from me before i could have them long enough for it to be an issue, but if she hadn't, i wouldn't have. it's...it's not a good thing at all. i wish you great happiness with the puppy for quite some time. :)

Seriously though Great chapter. You will pay for those cliffhangers though.

Dom, I walk around my apartment with my remote control and my cordless phone...God help me if I set either one down somewhere. I once lost my tv remote for two days! I had to actually get up and change the channel! It was hell - ha ha

Keep the excellent chapters for DD coming!!!

Dom-

Maybe I can help you with some titles. Here's a few-- see if they spark any ideas.

Here's a few ideas:

Dog Guy, Cat Guy- the tale of romance between two very different people and the furr flies.

Diary of a Neurotic Dog- a Dog's eye view of a romance. You did something like this in your blog but I think it could be expanded and refined.

Night Moves- a grifter meets a nice guy and finally discovers what he wants but is it too late?

Dawn's Early Light- two gay Marine heros survive the Gulf War but discover that the Corp is deadlier than anything that Saddam had.

the Rochenko Gambit- set in the Cold War, a Western agent is sent to Moscow to seduce a Soviet scientest and steal his secrets but soon finds that its his heart that has been stolen.

Here's a few potentially cool titles:

the End of Winter

the Polk County War

10,000 Shades of Gray

the Destruction of Matthew Gentry

Broken Victory

I wish I was as good with the rest of the story. :(

Fear not dom--this situation has already been addressed. In response to threats against your well being, and the safety of your work, the Dom Frontline Defense Team has been formed. I have Nickkolasjames8 as my top general, and the entire TTS fan club, lead by C James. All of these people with the advantage of a firearms locker that makes Waco look like a minor hunting accident**cough*dick cheney*cough** and you have an unpenetrable defense and a more than capable offense.

hmm seasonal summer--my guess is construction, mb roofing? or golf course maintenance? or could be roadwork? oh so many possibilities...........

Us the nameless members of The GA Church Will not go silently. We will fight till the end. Due to the meddling in our affairs by your behalf we have been forced to do our work in secret. We have our means and we have those that follow the Gospel of Comicality, Lydon and Luka that are faithful to our cause. Our numbers are gaining and we will not lose the battle. We have infiltrated all ranks and you will soon see the mistakes you have made in trying to keep the word from us.
