What scares me

The thing that scares me most is love. I'm scared because I love easily. I find someone I can connect to and within a week I feel love for that person. I've done this twice and both times that love was not returned. In fact the first time the other guy and I were planning to celebrate his birthday together. The day before I was to come over I tried texting him and he didn't reply as a matter of fact the message was never delivered. I then called his number and that's when my heart broke when the message said 'the number you are trying to dial is no longer in service' my heart felt like it had been ripped out of my chest. I cried, I didn't eat, I barely slept. I felt rejected and alone. Being bipolar this didn't do much for my mentality. So now when I go into a relationship I try not to get attached to people but it doesn't work. I'm not saying I'm easy to love, but I love easy. That's what scares me more than anything

Love is never easy! There will be people that you will feel an instant connection to. Heartbreak sucks... However; it is a huge life lesson. 
I wouldn't wish heartbreak on anyone. It does however teach you how to proceed in relationships later. Their is nothing wrong with loving easy or hard. You will learn to protect your heart... Out of instinct and survival!

Loving easy is not a negative trait. It's learning how to harness that love - being receptive to opportunities while also having discernment over what is good or bad for you - that is the challenge. Don't ever stifle your capacity to love.

Love is scary.  Trusting your heart to another person.  Trusting that they'll not hurt you.  That they'll return your love.  That they'll not ridicule your feelings.

Loving is scarier than any haunted house, or creepy critter, or Hollywood monster.

But, I think, a life with no love, ever, is scarier still.

Don't be so afraid that you miss it, Wesley. For love, real love, is the most beautiful, wondrous thing there is.

Would that more people felt like you, the world would be a better place. Sharing yourself is a gift, whether you are friend, brother, lover or child. There will be those who see this, and those who feel it, who are afraid, and run from it.  You'll be left sad, but know you did right, and that the love you share will come back to you, over your lifetime. And the ones who run will one day stop, when they are ready. Part of that will because of your willingness to share with them, to teach them, that love isn't to be feared. Be yourself Wes, never change that.

Yes, and we as Gay people should never be shy to remind the others that this is Tennyson speaking about the man he loved, Arthur Hallam :)

You can count on one thing from us Jersey kids. We call em like we see em! Loving is something you should be proud of, and it speaks volumes that you can allow yourself to love easily. So many can't at all.
