is it any wonder i prefer hiding inside my sketchbook

over being in a crowd of people who don’t understand?

my lifestyle — a mystery they try to dissect

put me under a microscope all you want

but you won’t get it because you choose not to

i am no slave nor toy to kick around

have my own opinions and voice to be heard

give over control to another, because that is my choice

gain strength and reassurance from my submission

i can be no other way and no other person

who i am, and who i am when i am with Him

is protected and taken care of

loved in ways that may not appeal to most

but they are ways that fulfill and make me whole

pain and discipline needed and desired

just as others need kind words and soft caresses

i need a firm hand and guidance to focus

and when i stumble

there’s comfort in knowing i am not alone

and Someone believes in me

He will pick me up and dust me off

always, tirelessly

so go ahead misunderstand me if you must

but your ignorance will ultimately destroy you

not me

****

Special thanks to

@MacGreg Sir for giving this writing task and to @Mikiesboy for help with arranging.

The writing exercise was for you, to release the frustration and emotion of yesterday, and also for us, the readers who get to ruminate over the message. you have important things to say, my boy. Let your voice be heard. Enlightenment is good for everyone. you did a great job on this, sean.

thank you Sir i am grateful

sean, I really appreciate the words you have written to explain who you are and why. It's a shame that there are people out there that need a 'lesson' to understand that who you are is perfect and right, and there is nothing negative about it.

In the final stanza, you clearly show that Mac loves you because he is always there for you. With your parting words, you stand tall and unshakable. Strong and meaningful are these statements.

From your posts in the DIC, I know that you are kind and thoughtful. Two exceptional attributess, imo.

:)

wow thanks reader :*).....very sweet of you to say, your kind to be so understanding!

On the front door of the DIC is a beautiful picture...have you seen it? Your words are beautiful and right. Submissive are not weak, they cannot be. Mac will not allow you to fail, and He will always and tirelessly pick you up. Be proud of knowing who you are and for having the courage to live your life.

We just have to be the best boys we can be. Giving our best and being mindful. We will always be learning lessons. Guided by our Sirs patience with us! xo

Where are you, boy ... you are here. Read your own words...then look around and see the man who is there. Who you write these for...whose hand reaches out to you. The path is clear, you only need to look.

Dig deeper holes? What does that even mean, boy? you wrote these blogs, these poems, from the heart. I'm proud of your efforts. you have friends here; don't shy away from people who genuinely care.
