I'm shocked :o I'm surprised :o I'm flabbergasted :o And you all should be too! When I found this out yesterday I was left with my mouth agape :o. Just when you thought you knew a guy, you find out how little you know! And then, to top it all off, he chooses to use deceit and misguidance to throw everyone further off the track. It has been pointed out that he didn't lie, but to me he might have just well have :(. I'm not willing to turn my back on him and I think no one else should either :D.

Drat. Foiled again! Everything I said was true, even in my attempted denial. Although it probably didn't help much. Remaining silent would have been worse. Well done @BHopper2 who was, I believe, the first to guess correctly. I would have got away with it if it hadn't been for those pesky kids.

It was the historical fiction, and something  @Graeme said about knowing English TV but using American English. Yes, it could have been a couple of other writers, but you were the first to pop in my head as being "active" in the forum.

I did my best to throw people off too   But I have to admit I was wrong and Bhopper was right.
