Weekly Wrap Up (Mar. 8 - Mar. 14)

It appears to be that time of year 😮

This is the week that we find out who pretends to have a bit of Irish in them, and those that have a bit of Irish in them and those that are Irish ☘️Git your minds out of the gutters ;)

I'm past the age of going out and getting inebriated on alcoholic drinks that are green or really cheap draft beer that has been coloured green :puke: The only thing I do is wear something green in order to ensure no one pinches me. I'm also past the age where I wear my favourite green undies and reveal them when someone asks where my green is 0:).

Does Chicago still dump green food colouring or dye or whatever into the river? Does anywhere else do something like this  Not sure if this is good for the fishies since we find out more and more about the dyes in our foods and beverages. You think they drink the water and it goes in one end and right out the other, and I'm sure that colouring stays in them 😮. Would you like to pull out a nice fish while casting offshore, take it home and start to filet it and find green insides :puke:

Geez, that is twice the number of pukes I usually use in a blog :D.

Oh, did any of you notice that the past Friday was Friday the 13th ? Did anything untoward happen to you or someone you know ? I hope not. I was so busy at work I didn't really notice. Maybe if you don't notice what day it is, you don't look for the strange and unusual.

Now we are like 2 weeks away from the Poetry Anthology. I don't know how many people have submitted, but if you are thinking of it, git it going . And to tie into St. Patrick's Day, why not give a try at a limerick. They are Irish, are they not?

I was going to post a populare naughty version of 'There Once Was A Man From Nantucket" but I never knew past the first 2 lines. Now that I've seen all the lines, OMG 😮. Toss another puke emoji in here.

Before I go down another rabbit hole, I shall get onto the Wrap Up.

My Mum was an American.

Hmmm, and I always thought mums originated in East Asia.

Ohhhh, not the flower. Never mind.

I always thought I was 3/4 Italian with a quart of Scotch mixed in. Ancestry thinks I’m 11% Irish, a bunch more of the UK, and other places in Europe. Only a grand total of 12% Italian. Go figure. And 0% Sicilian, which I know where at least one side of my grandparents or great-grandparents were from.

I'm also past the age where I wear my favourite green undies and reveal them when someone asks where my green is 0:).

I can't with you right now. I'll never get too old to show anyone...

As for the Irish thing, I don't understand it; it's stupid.

Not the people, I'm sure they are fine. It's the parades, the drinking, the green beer; it's unnecessary.

Did anything untoward happen to you or someone you know

Do people still believe in that superstitious nonsense? That's like saying the month you are born can somehow affect your personality and make you incompatible with people born in different months. :)

Too bad the Knights Templar didn't believe in the Friday the 13th curse, since their headquarters in France was broken into and they were arrested, imprisoned, and many killed on Friday October 13th, 1307 by order of King Philip IV of France.

But to prove your point, you'd have to account for all the other bad or unlucky things that happened not surrounding the number 13 or all the other days of the week/month/year. :P

Never on April 1st....just sayin.....Now April 15th is an entirely different manner....
