Tiger Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 ...........If the timeline is correct, and somebody famous is going to get whacked! The group is going to be in Australia in two weeks, the "package" will be assembled and ready to move within the 3-week time slot. And Mario is going to America to arrange an accident in a couple of weeks. The only other famous person (scratches head!!) mentioned so far is Lump, who has been too quiet. Could it be with all Scar has going on that he still believes Lump to be with the group. I'm still suspicious of Jerry, he seems to be tied to this "plot" in more ways than one. Nice tour of Rome CJ! I had no idea they buried Raphael there , that's one of the Ninja turtles right? My anticipation is building. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen!

I had no idea they buried Raphael there , that's one of the Ninja turtles right? I have suspicions concerning Jerry. Let's remember that he is in the logistics business and Scar and company will be needing some logistics support about the same time Instinct's shipping containers are leaving Australia. Since Scar doesn't leave any witnesses, Jerry may be the "whackee". Does he qualify as famous? Maybe his philanthropic efforts have brought him some celebrity. Then again, Scar used the word "they" in referring to the contract: Edited January 8, 2008 by MikeL
shadowgod Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Is it just me, or am I the only person who found the scene at the Trevi fountan eerily familiar? Finding the coins he’d brought along for the purpose and chuckling at his own superstitions, handed them around to the group, explaining about the legend that if you tossed a coin into the Trevi Fountain, you would one day return. Benji Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Is it just me, or am I the only person who found the scene at the Trevi fountan eerily familiar? ...........I'm afraid your going to have to clue me in on this one Shadowg_d!
shadowgod Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 ...........I'm afraid your going to have to clue me in on this one Shadowg_d! I know it may be coincidence owing to a long held held legend and what not, but didn't the scar do the exact same thing in an earlier chapter? May take me till this evening but I will dig it up.
Conner Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 The only way this chapter could have been better would have been the boys having a pool party at Trevi Fountain. Where's the tequila when you really need it. I want to acknowledge our favourite stud, Eric, for the sacrifice he made in this chapter. This proves he can be dependable. Yes, I'm falling for the straight boy. If Jerry's involved with The Scar's logistics, I think he's being duped. It still makes him a security risk, though. CJ has dropped a bunch of clues again....maybe misdirection....now, if only I could figue them out. Great chater, CJ. Conner

Conner Your not alone Conner Somehow through the story Eric has definately nudged his way into my Favorite slot. CJ is just mean to him (as he is with other Erics) So I formed Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Erics... SPiCE, wanna join up?

CJ is just mean to him (as he is with other Erics) So I formed Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Erics... SPiCE, wanna join up? ...............Sorry!! But I'm only just recently have overcome my compulsion to kill ERIC'S.....it was for the love that brought it on
shadowgod Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 ...............Sorry!! But I'm only just recently have overcome my compulsion to kill ERIC'S.....it was for the love that brought it on but the eric in that story saved the day!
Benji Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Good memory! It's in Chapter 4: Similar wording in Chapter 21: Hmmm...so CJ has mastered 'cut and paste'? Could Gunter and Scar be boyfriends? ......I can just see CJ with scissors and paste in hand, to repeat coin toss at the fountain scene almost verbatim is too perfect of a clue!! Of WHAT!! Nice catch Shadowg_d!

At least, if he were it would be against his knowing. It wouldn't be the first time that bad guys use the kindness of good people. Good memory! It's in Chapter 4: Similar wording in Chapter 21: Hmmm...so CJ has mastered 'cut and paste'? Could Gunter and Scar be boyfriends? Oupsy, Is it plagiarism to copy your own self? CJ indeed can use the cut and paste!! Tho this could be the Biggest hint Cj's given us since the start.
Benji Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 but the eric in that story saved the day! .........Only for his own pathetic self-interest of preservation and greed!
shadowgod Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 .........Only for his own pathetic self-interest of preservation and greed! now see you call it pathetic.. i call it grossly human
Benji Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) now see you call it pathetic.. i call it grossly human ...............Might be hanging around the goat to long!!, OK!! .........Only for his pathetic self-interest of preservation of his grossly sub human self!! I dunno there is just something about a parent that doesn't to clear the air with their children that doesn't sit well with me. Granted Lump is a dingle berry, and I don't care for him at all I'm sure my attitude towards him would be highly modified if he were my child. It's that damn unconditional love thing...

It is definitely not the usual situation. Usually it is the parents who are able to accept a gay son rather than a son unable to accept a gay father.
Site Administrator Graeme Posted January 8, 2008 Site Administrator Posted January 8, 2008 I agree, I still have misgivings about Jerry though. I dunno there is just something about a parent that doesn't to clear the air with their children that doesn't sit well with me. Granted Lump is a dingle berry, and I don't care for him at all I'm sure my attitude towards him would be highly modified if he were my child. ........Lump has been too quiet, don't know if Jerry's been pacifying him with money or what! jerry may be the nice guy who has gotten in over his head trying to protect his freinds. From memory, didn't Jerry ask Helen and the Carlisle brother's to do what they could for Lump, because Lump wouldn't have anything to do with Jerry? Helen said they would, but I haven't seen them do anything to help since. It's possible that Jerry has left it in their hands (since they said they'd help Joe Clump overcome his problems), and he doesn't realise that they've dropped the ball on the subject. It is definitely not the usual situation. Usually it is the parents who are able to accept a gay son rather than a son unable to accept a gay father. Actually, from the literature I've read, it's not that uncommon. It's just that having a gay father is a lot less common than having a gay son. I've got no statistics, but the anecdotal evidence I've heard indicates that a reasonable percentage of children (especially adult children) don't accept when one of their parents comes out of the closet. On the subject of Mario, the use of "they" can still be singular -- it's the non-gender specific version of "he" or "she". It may not be good English, but I've heard it many times, and I do it myself sometimes. All we know is that they will be famous. The obvious target is Instinct, but it's possible it'll be someone else. We know that The Scar wants to take over Paraguay -- maybe it'll be the current leader of Paraguay (on a political visit to the USA) that's going to be assassinated? That's the only other possibility I can think of at the moment -- I don't believe Helen, Jerry or even Lump fit the description of "famous" that was used.
Jack Scribe Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Oupsy, Is it plagiarism to copy your own self? CJ indeed can use the cut and paste!! I think it's literary license. I loved the travels around Rome. Brought back memories. There is a marvelous hotel - The Hasler - at the top of the Spanish steps. http://www.hotelhasslerroma.com/. Per a Google search: The Bellini was first invented in 1948 at Harry's Bar in Venice Italy. Giuseppe Cipriani was the head bartender at the time, and had a strong fondness for for the Italian White Peaches. He worked long and hard trying to develop a perfect cocktail which would use them as a base, then he tried the simple combination of pureed white peaches and prosecco (Italian Sparkling Wine), and he knew he had something. I'm not sure if Harry's Bar in Rome is part of the Venice original. http://www.harrysbar.it/ Guess we'll have to wait on the latest status of Steve and Wilde's understanding. But I do smell something curious with Jerry's re-entry into the story. Fun chapter.

Oh ya, I don't think I mentioned that,,, we can see that some goat's trip over there had some benefit,,, Ya, for sure, the description of the Rome part of the story was really good, it felt as if you were there. Also for someone like me, who've been there, it's perfect to remember some old memories. sacha
