Jap is my favorite character, but I don't have to see a lot more of him in the story. His fondness for Bert the gun reminded me of my high school days. Besides the fake wooden rifles in the school theatre's prop room, there were 2 real rifles (but no ammunition). In a play where I was part of the honor guard for a political candidate, I chose to carry one of the real guns, not the light weight immitations my classmates picked. Later, I learned that they were WWII snipers' rifles, donated by a student who returned from the war to complete his senior year! Before I discovered the weapons, I had tried carrying the flag. There was something attractive about the harness supporting the butt of the flag's pole below my belt buckle, and I could dream that the flag was flying from my erection.

Guest Jess Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 I favor (and voted for) Mitch Babcock because he sets an example for handica[pped kids. There are fewer (thanks to medical advances) but enough to deserve someone they can identify with and look up to.

Guest wildheart812 Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I too picked Jap, but I really want to hear more about all of the characters listed except maybe Prince, though i have a feeling he is gay! I really want to hear about the foster care situation and I would like more detail of the relationships, not so much the sex. I think that the love between the boys is just as important as everything else. I like that The Unit allows the boys to build confedence in themselves and build friendships and relationships and I would like to see more of that. I hated to vote for only one character!!!!

I voted for JAP, I think he sounds like a very intelligent boy, and I love the smart ass remarks he makes. Although I must admit Mitch is a good one too, any person that can over come what has happened with him can only be a strong individual. Dude you had me scared there for a bit when JAP was dreaming lol My pc was all messed up for awhile but it's fixed now . I had alot of catching up to do .
