Now that TLW is over, I'm trying to think back to the most memorable scenes and figuring out who my favorite character was.

 

For me, my favorite scene goes all the way back to Chapter 1, when Owen is reunited with Tony and Chris in the Hospital. Owen wakes up and sees the eyes staring at him and he knows right away who it is. You can feel the relief that Owen goes through, then the panic because he's going to tell them that he's gay. Only to then find out that Tony was gay. Most memorable scene and the start of my personal addiction to Domluka writing.

 

For favorite character (not including Owen), I think overall it has to be Ryan. His friendship and loyalty to Owen is more than anyone can hope for and he just seems like a genuinely nice guy. He keeps things positive and he's more than willing to back up a friend. Nicky comes in at a close second (Hmmm, I wonder if I just have a thing for the straight guy best friend type...)

Favorite scene for me has to be the end of Chapter 10 - "This is a date?" followed up by Aiden teasingly throwing Owen's own words back at him "Don't you hate when people can't notice the obvious" (ok - so not exact quotes but it's early, I'm lazy and don't wanna look them up).

 

Favorite non-Owen/Aiden character: has to be Tony. His quiet nuturing, caring for others - sometimes too much to his own detriment. And early on, with the party at Leo's we see he's not just the perfect studious type - but can relax and have fun at a party too.

I don't have a favorite scene, I'd have to read it again to find one, but I'm about to start rereading a certain story by a different author . What I really liked was the running gag regarding Tony/Chris. Owen told us early on that he was the only on who could tell them apart, but did you notice that everyone else always got it wrong. Probability says that 50% of the time they should be right, but to always get it wrong .

 

My favorite character is a toss up between Nicky, Chris and Ryan (str8, best friend loyal types, I think I gotta thing ) Although I suppose that Chris edges out. He has given up a lot of what he could have had for his brothers and his friends, and he knows he has gained more by doing so. He'll make the best dad when he finally finds the right woman, and he'll be a pushover when it comes to the uncles spoiling that kid.

I don't know if I can pick one scene as a favorite. The whole story was great, but If I had to pick I guess I would have to say the part of the story when Owen stood up to Aiden's mom. Becasue of Owen's fear of parents I felt this took a lot of courage on his part. To me it shows just how much love can guide you and give you strength.

 

My favorite character besides Owen would be Ben. Having Ben as support outside of his family helped Owen heal. Even if Owen still has a long way to go. Ben's caring and ability to listen helped Owen start the healing process.

Favorite characters - toss up between Tony and Chris, but I probably have to go with Tony.

 

I don't remember a favorite scene, but I was amused at Tony/Jake early efforts to date.

My favourite character has to Aiden. What a sweetheart. Brave and courageous, loyal and true, honest and compassionate, great sense of humour, and a whole lot of integrity to boot.

 

My favouite scene is Ben patiently and compassionately explaining to Owen that he needed to face his own demons.
