Yep, known about the art for decades. It used to be the only gay erotica that could be found pre-stonewall. Today I think most would consider it pretty campy.

His art was the first Male-Male erotic stuff I EVER looked at, in a Borders down the street from my house. I really wanted to buy it, but I didn't see that going over too well. At I'm sure he's out.

By today's standards, yes, it's nothing special. However, as has been mentioned above, it's of great interest historically, because it's been around for decades. I can remember seeing it back in the 80s when I was a Uni student.

 

If you just want to view erotic art, it's probably nothing special. If you're interested in gay history, then it's definitely something special.

First one to really draw for the gay male. His art today might be viewed sort of campy but he defined the idea of the leather man, gay sailor, etc. Let me know what you think of it.
