C James Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Chapter 62, Enemies Naar and Far, is up. I have been reading the forum, I just haven't been able to think clearly enough to reply or post much in recent days. I'm getting better though, and the chills and fevers have finally ended. My Doc says I'm well on the way to full recovery, which was welcome news. I'm still loopier than normal, thanks to some of the meds, but I'm feeling a heck of a lot better. I'm still weak, and sleep a lot, but less each day. Anyway, sorry for my absence and late replies! I should be more active from now on. Enjoy the chapter (it's just a nice, relaxing one)
hh5 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hey Trevor and Shane fight like brothers ... wouldn't it be funny if they are 1/2 brothers ... or funny way to date ooo could trevor found the ares? but he would not know about a secret compartment ... so it be all strange See its bad bridget and sanchez and george ... leak ... hope sanchez chases them ... makes the go on the run and not able to do any thing still no trevor family to find him
jkeeling Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Grrrrr you and your extremely tense endings. *aka cliff hangers*
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted January 25, 2011 Site Moderator Posted January 25, 2011 There's only a few day left to get your nominations in for King.
JimCarter Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I'm happy that you are feeling some better and thanks for chapter 62. Jim

Enjoy the chapter (it's just a nice, relaxing one) I'm glad you are feeling better. Rest is still the best thing, I think. Great chapter, and damn your tense endings...!!! I think Shane is more important than what is being let on, you know...hot sweaty bad boy blonde...who can resist? But, before that happens, I imagine Trevor will have to beat the crap out of him a few times to get his attention!
KevinD Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Ba aa ad nasty smelly evil old Billy goat! Clearly you're illness has nor gotten in the way of keeping us on edge... Glad to hear you are well on the road of recovery! :-)
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted January 25, 2011 Site Moderator Posted January 25, 2011 CJ is a few chapter ahead so we don't have to worry about his illness affecting the story just yet.
Simonjames30 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I think we will see the insurance comapny renting the Lagoon 57 for Trevor while he waits for Atlantis to be repaired and Shane will ended working for Trevor
hh5 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hey mom its me wiki Kookaburra is related to Kookaburra III Boat3
Benji Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) ................ Bridget and George have become careless, I wonder if in their haste they forgot to lock the door to the house? Will Henry poke around inside and discover the guesthouse tapes? Sanchez is not a happy camper, he has failed twice, will his third attempt with his phone call to Australia succeed? Shane is a character, but I wonder if he is as bad as Nate let him on to be! I like the idea someone mentioned that of Trevor renting out the Kookaburra with Shane being his deck hand!! Now the end of this chapter seems to be another danger to Trevor. Is Sanchez that quick with a new assassin or has the reporter found the Atlantis already? Maybe, it is Shane coming to apologize after learning the truth about Trevor's voyage, perhaps bringing a gift of new shorts as a peace offering. Who ever it is, they know the names of the custom officers, I'm therefore leaning towards the reporter, as I think Sanchez has just made contact and not worked out the details. I'm pretty sure it is not going to Shane, I think the idea of Nate coming on board with Trevor to inspect the boat while Shane is there is too good of a scene to not play out Great chapter CJ!! I'm sure Shane will play an interesting part in this story!! Edited January 25, 2011 by Benji

Is Sanchez that quick with a new assassin or has the reporter found the Atlantis already? Doubt it be Shane wanting to be nice nice.
Guest Jeffrey Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Doubt it be Shane wanting to be nice nice. I doubt it too. Especially after the eye decoration courtesy of Trevor's fist.
slug Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I think it's Shane poking around to verify everything. Will he help Trevor or attack him is another question.
falling into the story Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I absolutely love this story. It keeps me reading faithfully and on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chapter. Congratulations! I also hope that despite his initial rough exterior and Ned's poor character reference, that Shane turns out to be a friend instead of a foe. Trevor could use a little help and a few friends right now. I also hope that Bridget starts making a few mistakes that tip off Lisa and Joel who will begin to suspect her. Right now she seems like a formidable sociopath who could do a lot of damage and not give a damn.
C James Posted January 30, 2011 Author Posted January 30, 2011 Hey Trevor and Shane fight like brothers ... wouldn't it be funny if they are 1/2 brothers ... or funny way to date ooo could trevor found the ares? but he would not know about a secret compartment ... so it be all strange See its bad bridget and sanchez and george ... leak ... hope sanchez chases them ... makes the go on the run and not able to do any thing still no trevor family to find him Trevor probably didn't do himself any favors by getting distracted and blurting out his surprise that Shane is Australian. At least we know that they both know at least one bit of sign language. (the middle finger). (and yep, they do use that in Australia, too. ) Grrrrr you and your extremely tense endings. *aka cliff hangers* Huh? What cliffhanger?? There's only a few day left to get your nominations in for King. ACK! But but but... no cliffhangers here, so we can't nominate me. I'm happy that you are feeling some better and thanks for chapter 62. Jim Thanks! I'm still spending more time than normal resting, but I think I'm pretty much over it now. I'm glad you are feeling better. Tense endings? Not me! Tense is just too close to cliffhanger for me to ever do. Shane is indeed very hot... but think of this; given Trevor's penchant for becoming distracted and clumsy around very hot guys (walking into bulkheads, or as in Italy, pool tables, and here getting tongue tied) how would he deal with an enemy he finds very hot? It would drive him nuts... LoL! And maybe Trevor has had it easy for too long, and needs an enemy? Ba aa ad nasty smelly evil old Billy goat! Clearly you're illness has nor gotten in the way of keeping us on edge... Glad to hear you are well on the road of recovery! :-) Edge? Not I! That's too much akin to a cliffhanger, and I never do those, not even when delirious with fever! I think we will see the insurance comapny renting the Lagoon 57 for Trevor while he waits for Atlantis to be repaired and Shane will ended working for Trevor What a dilemma for Trevor... he'd get to be Shane's boss after fighting him, but it would also give Shane a chance to make good on his thread to gut Trevor with a boathook... ................ Bridget and George have become careless, I wonder if in their haste they forgot to lock the door to the house? Will Henry poke around inside and discover the guesthouse tapes? I'm sure Shane will play an interesting part in this story!! I might, or might not, be able to confirm that we have, or haven't, seen the last of Shane. I doubt it too. Especially after the eye decoration courtesy of Trevor's fist. And Trevor has a few bruises and a cut lip too... plus, from where Atlantis is docked, Trevor has to walk past the marina where Kookaburra is to get to and from town, every time. Just the added complication he needs. I absolutely love this story. It keeps me reading faithfully and on the edge of my seat waiting for the next chapter. Congratulations! I also hope that despite his initial rough exterior and Ned's poor character reference, that Shane turns out to be a friend instead of a foe. Right now she seems like a formidable sociopath who could do a lot of damage and not give a damn. Thanks!!! Trevor could indeed use a few friends... he's only been there 24 hours so far, and so far he knows the two officers, Ned, and Shane. Trevor is still suffering from his long ordeal at sea... he was alone and in danger for a long time, and his pride and joy (Atlantis) is an absolute mess. Trevor is in a more fragile state of mind than he himself realizes, which is why he's so miserable right now. Okay, so, we have someone stealthily approaching Atlantis, intention unknown, but clearly concerned about detection by the customs officers. We know the person is male (the narration calls him a "he") but little else. We know also that Trevor is miserable, and in a very fragile and vulnerable state of mind... Does the visitor intend Trevor harm? Is it a reporter? Or one of Sanchez's people? Shane? Someone new? We just don't know... all we really know for sure is that it isn't a cliffhanger.

Could it be his mom, in drag; have a feeling she did not die and is hiding out until Dec... :snork: :snork: ..... :boy:
JimCarter Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Could it be his mom, in drag; have a feeling she did not die and is hiding out until Dec... :snork: :snork: ..... :boy: Not yet, I'm sure it is way too early for her to show up. Maybe Trev will go to see his mom's folks while trying to avoid the press and attention. This "Non Cliffhanger" has me worried who the shadow in the dark could be. Oh well, maybe it will be some hot dude that is looking for a friend and has Trevor in mind to make him a new friend.

We were just messing a bit; impatiently waiting for new chapters... :read: I am sure we are not the only ones who would like to Kidnap (just kidding) a few of the authors (Mark Arbour/ C James/and others), lock them in a comfortable room and have them write full time for our reading pleasure... I know a little sick, selfish, etc... I assume they all have lives and writing for us is far down there list... We really enjoy this site and want to thank all involved... :boy:
Site Administrator wildone Posted February 1, 2011 Site Administrator Posted February 1, 2011 Not yet, I'm sure it is way too early for her to... Holy smokes, we are on chapter 62 and it is too early to find out if his mom is alive Are we going for a 150 chapter story here? (Truth be told, if CJ were to tell the truth, he'd probably say he planned for a 40 chapter story). As far as the cliffhanger goes, I have a feeling it will be the assassin, but he will be foiled by Shane coming to check up on Trevor's story. It will be a male bonding moment to remember Just think, only about 4 hours till we find out
