Damn, it feels like a lifetime ago when editing reviews/comments was impossible. :o

PS: This is post #8000 for me! :wizard:

Congrats. That's a lot of posts :)

I'm in the 500s still and my title is Forum Fiend.  I guess once you get to a couple thousand they run out of new titles and say "fuck it you're Pi Boy now!" :lmao:

You can change your title once you reach 500. We all seem to have found one that suits - just don't ask for suggestions unless you are brave

I knew there was a point where you could choose your own but I wasn't sure when it was.  Oh and I'm apparently Manic Poster.  That's the downside of looking at the site on my phone, it does cut out some of the details.

Honestly though, I'd have no idea what I'd choose as a title.

That sounds like a solicitation for suggestions!  ;-)

  • ‘Knowhere Man’ is probably too obvious…
  • ‘Posting from Knowhere’?

If May 1982 is your birthday, you might want to update your age too when you’re editing your Profile.  ;-)

It's actually not May, but March of '82.  Long story about why I put 582 at the end, and I do kinda wish I could change that.  I'd keep the spikey though.

I was once assigned a long password containing random words and numbers for a porn site I joined several decades ago (I don’t even remember what site it was). Since I had memorized it, it wasn’t something I originally chose, and it contained both letters and numbers, I now use variations of it as my password on many sites – but not GA!  ;-)

I’ve thought about using parts of old phone numbers as PINs, but realized that someone could probably find and link those phone numbers to me if they did a little research since I listed them on paperwork like school and employment records.

Hahaha no.  It's actually a relic of the 90s.  I have a very common name, and on certain sites I'd join under my real first name, since that username was already taken every single time, it would always put forth a few suggestions for how to alter the username, and usually even just adding an 82 at the end wasn't enough so I'd frequently get 582 as a suggestion for whatever reason and started doing it as the path of least resistance.  I've found over the years that many names I come up with are already taken, and I've added 582 at the end of my usernames.

I've faced similar problems, especially when I'm setting up an email account. Usually latching on a 3 (my favorite whole number) will take care of it. :) Actually, if I recall correctly, my first GA username had 3 at the end.
