Rented an efficiency cabin once;, the cooking stove was literally two feet from my bed.  It was also less than fifteen feet from the tracks of a still-in-use railroad, with two trains a day and one at night.

Never have I ever been an expert swimmer, although I can do basic swimming.

I don't either. In a high school cooking class someone used a Tablespoon instead of a teaspoon of salt and now I cannot eat enchiladas. That was over 20 years ago.
